Highpointe DBR and Hal Lovato designed and built our residence at 5700 Grande Lagoon Blvd. Design deficiencies, coupled with their failure to provide any oversight whatsoever over their subcontractors during construction, resulted in significant damage over time to the structure, rendering it uninhabitable. When delivered, the structure had many deficiencies and omissions from their own certified plans. The structure was so deficient that, according an independent analysis by a local engineering firm it did not meet FL Residential building code. Highpointe/Lovato has disavowed any responsibility for this situation and their insurance coverage is apparently inadequate to resolve this matter. We are currently in litigation against Highpointe/Lovato and have also filed a complaint with the State of Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
