January 24, 2020dishwasher install
We recently bought a dishwasher through Lowe's and they contracted Boyd of Hill Country Installation to do the install. He was excellent at communicating, showed up almost to the minute on time, was clean, thorough and great at showing us how to run our new dishwasher. It runs perfectly and we are very pleased with this install and would definitely use this company again!

My experience with Boyd of Hill Country Installation was awesome from the beginning. He scheduled the time to measure the space promptly ( and even moved my appointment up when he got a cancellation). He and his partner were on-time, friendly and efficient. When they returned to to do the install they were here on time, (actually a little earlier which was great for me!). Again efficient, friendly and left everything clean and tidy. I will definitely use them again and will recommend to family and friends!

By Chris R.March 20, 2017Dishwasher Install$01 day
My home warranty company had to replace my Fisher Paykel dishwasher. They ordered it through Lowes. Boyd of Hill Country Installation arrived on time with the dishwasher and completed the work in a timely professional manner. He left my kitchen as clean as it was when he arrived. I would use them again if the need arose.

We recently went through Lowe's in Kyle to remodel kitchen and bathroom with new countertops, new drop-in countertop range and vent hood sink, etc. Per Lowes, they subed the disconnect of the old range and vent hood to Hill Country Installation in San Marcos. The guy was timely in arriving the day before countertops were to be installed to disconnect. He was back with the new equipment to install the day after countertops were in place. He discovered that because of the somewhat raised contour of the vent hood, the upper cabinet doors hit the hood requiring the need for a shim to drop the hood about 1/2 inch and allow the doors to open and close properly. He didn't have the needed material so he left with the word he would return in the morning. Now, the equipment (range top and vent hood) as well as the labor for disconnect/reconnect had been previously paid for with Lowes. Next morning I get a call from his company advising me that because of the additional work required in installing the hood, I would need to pay an additional $163 in advance or the guy would not be back. No mask, no gun but same results. Later that morning, the guy showed up carrying a board about 1/2" thick by 42" long about 4" wide, tacked it into place, mounted the vent hood and completed the job. Adding the shim (about a buck 50 cost) may have added 5-7 extra minutes of work time. THEN, as he was preparing to leave, he advised me I would need to go buy the LED bulbs to put in the vent hood, a cost of around another 16 bucks. This I hold Lowes accountable for. In their incapacity to think of customer convenience by simply adding $20 to the cost of the vent hood to cover the lights and provide a turn-key deal, they opted to reinforce an already negative situation. As stated, that's on Lowes. Then added a job of the additional $163 for a piece of scrap wood and an additional 10? Minutes is squarely on Hill Country.

They did a great job installing my appliances. Professional and honest. Wow it's good to see that in today's times.

Hill Country installed a new dishwasher I bought at Lowes. It didn't fit right where the old one was right off the bat, but they worked on it and were able to move my cabinets apart then screwed them back. Looks way better than my stock unit and actually cleans my dishes.
