My wife and I had been scammed by a duo of contractors that had held themselves out to be licenced professionals. After 2 months of trying to get our kitchen remodeling and electrical work serviced it became apparent we had been dooped. In fact, they did more damage than good. I left a review on BUILDZOOM to warn people of the Fraud. As a result, I was contacted by Chuck at Hills Eelectric who WAS a licenced electrician. To make a long story short, Chuck went out of his way to make sure our electrical work was completed exactly to our needs and in a timely fashion. ( As a side note, I had contacted Hills Electric very close to the Christmas Holidays and no doubt the busiest time of the year for most contractors. Chuck made sure the work was done so we could enjoy the Holidays with a fully funtioning Kitchen...awesome!)
Moral of the story: make sure you do your homework before hiring anyone. There should be licence numbers produced and contracts provided. The internet can provide a wealth of information to help you choose the right licenced contractor for your job.
