We have been in home almost 4 months and still do not have all items fixed/ repaired. The GM will not call or text back to discuss remedies or provide updates. POOR COMMUNICATION AND LACK OF ATTENTION TO DETAIL. Once the builder gets paid then they vanish. FIND A DIFFERENT BUILDER IF POSSIBLE..

Communication was OK. They do not pay attention to detail and like to charge extra money on top of already higher priced upgrades. You will get a fee for the upgraded material, and they will charge you an additional fee, although they aren’t doing Jack. If we didn’t manage this project, we would’ve never moved in. Not because the home wouldn’t be complete, but because it would not meet our expectations. DO NOT CLOSE UNTIL YOU APPROVE OF EVERYTHING!! I can not emphasize this enough. You will not get them back to your house, nor will you get their subcontractors to come out.

The owner is autocratic and refuses to meet with or talk to Hilmann customers. Project manager promises everything, then builds their model regardless of prior plans or commitments. You get to make selections, but overpriced when you find out costs AFTER installation.
WORST building experience we have ever had. Never again!!!

We purchased a spec home from Hilmann Home Building. We had some concerns prior to closing. They hired and provided an engineer's report which satisfied our concerns. They addressed punch list and warranty work in a timely fashion. They use quality subs who were very responsive through the warranty period. We would not hesitate to do business with Hilmann Home Building again.
