I was recomended Hippolyte Painting & Construction by a neighbor and I am so glad I called them. After shopping around and getting quotes from several painters I chose Hippolyte because their price was absolute best. It cost me $7000 for my 2 1/2 story colonial style house. That included stripping several coats of the existing peeling paint off the house. They stripped the entire exterior down to the bare wood, primed the entire house and then applied two coats of high quality benjamin moore paint. Other companies that I got quotes from wanted to charge me over DOUBLE THE PRICE! and they did not include stripping down to the bare wood just sanding surface and only one coat of paint not two. Hippolyte's price also included painting of the front porch & rear deck or restaining them (they gave me a choice of either), replacement of a few slats and wooden trim pieces that had rot damage. Another popular painter's quote was $14,000 and any repair/replacement of the wood work was to be sub-contracted for an additional cost! Oh, I almost forgot that Hippolyte also included relocating the stairs on my back deck. They were originally very close to the opeing to the cellar doors and it was very difficult to get by the stairs and go into the basement. But Daniel Hippolyte relocated the stairs to the opposite side of the deck and laid an extension of the concrete foundation, giving me all of the extra room I needed to bring large stuff in & out of the basement with ease. All this in the $7000 price. Its been a year now and the paint still looks fantastic. I highly recomend you call "Danny" from Hippolyte Paining & Construction. You will be very pleased you did. They are a small company with only a few guys but they do an amazing job. I can't say enough good things about them!
