  Driveway, side yard, backyard

  It is brutal. Ho signed a contract for driveway pavers and side yard work. He took 10% cash in advance and managed to take more to pay to the guy who did digging work. Just after one day work, he did not come and stopped responding to my texts and calls. It is worse as it happened just before festive season. There is no option to give negative review in terms of stars. Hence, I picked the lowest one.

  Pavers

  Ken is a fraudulent contractor, Thanh “Ken” Ho, who took an advance payment for a backyard pavers project at my home in Milpitas around July 2024. He took the money (including cash payments) and left my backyard in a mess and then disappeared without completing the job.

  Ken previously did pavers for our front yard back in 2018 and was consistent in his work until 2022. However, I think his behavior has recently become erratic, and he is no longer trustworthy. I have already filed a police report against him.

  Please be cautious and avoid hiring him; he should not be trusted for any work.

  Ken is a fraud. He took cash giving reasons from lost his wallet to getting robbed outside Home Depot. Please do not hire him. He not only took advance but created a mess in my backyard and vanished. He should be in jail. I have file a police report.

  We hired Thanh Ho (aka Ken) to redo our backyard and driveway. He sought and we paid a substantial advance including payment to purchase pavers for our backyard.
  Ken initiated work with a couple people to dig up the existing pavers partially for few hours and then suspended work. We were unable to get hold of him for weeks. After multiple attempts, we managed to reach him. He admitted that he had used the money advanced for his son's wedding. We ordered the material directly to avoid further delay. Ken promised to pay back - he gave us couple of checks as partial payment - both checks bounced.
  He then asked if we could pay labor and that he would pay for the second part of the project - the driveway.
  Overall, we have paid him considerably more than the original total project cost for both the backyard and driveway. The backyard work remains incomplete. He is again not reachable for over a week.
  We just read another review on this site from someone who has encountered similar experience; we are shocked that a Contractor continues to operate like this, with complete disregard to agreed terms..

  hello, i hired this guy Ken for some concerete work and he gave estimate, i have paid 50% of the money and he just worked one day and left for 3 weeks now and he is not retuning or texting me .. i don't know what to do .. can you help me ?
