    Build a simulated Post and Beam Carport
    $1,840
    Dishonest contractor

    Mr. Hogarty met with us several times and developed a construction plan for a simulated post and beam carport. A contract was presented on 28 May 2014 with detailed specifications and an initial draw was made for $1830 to cover "architectural and structural drawings, business license and permit fees". Subsequent to cashing the check he did not return calls or emails. Given the fairly small monetary loss, no legal action was pursued. If he is still in business, buyer beware.
