Home Front Electric
Terrible from the start. Where to even begin? Johnny Ray’s “crew” Would show up for a day and then vanish for 4 weeks. Then show up for a day and vanish for 4 weeks. His employees were his own children: Underaged, unlicensed, uninsured working on my home. One was just 13 years old: swinging fixtures by their wires, climbing on top of an 8 foot ladder, being a kid (because he was a kid). After multiple calls/texts of concern about installing fixture boxes prior to stucco he Didn’t bother to install them before stucco and then attempted to use tapcons to install the brackets and just hang the lights on those. Obviously, not to code and when I asked him about it he gave me the “oh, so you’re an electrician now?…I’ve been doing it this way for 22 years” speech. Johnny himself didn’t do any work at the house. It was all done by teenage kids who had no clue what they were doing. His bid was $19,500 for rough in and finish (not including fixtures). His crew of kids worked carelessly and Damaged multiple fixtures. Caught the one boy, who likely weighs 220+ standing inside my brand new vanity trying to improperly install a vanity light, instead of using a ladder (countertops were not on yet so he climbed into it). Now Sheetrock has to be cut to properly install fans, stucco has to be chipped out and re-done to add boxes on exterior, receptacles that were on the plan and left out have to be added. Just a completely worthless operation. After 5 months of crap work and literal babysitting of his kids I reported his “business” to Okeechobee county, he was finally fired by my builder. Now it’s going to cost even more money and time to fix what his children messed up. Oh, and apparently wire nuts are optional these days (see pictures) as multiple fixtures I had to take down were missing nuts.
