  Inground Pool Installation

  I highly recommend avoiding Home Paradise Pools and the owner, David Blackerby. In August 2023, we gave them a $20,000 deposit to begin construction on our pool with the understanding that work would start in March 2024. From the start, communication was awful. Our questions went unanswered, and we were left in the dark about the progress of the project. By early January, we decided to cancel because there had been no permits pulled and only a couple of renderings provided—no real progress.

  After canceling, we were left waiting for six weeks to receive any portion of our deposit back. When it finally arrived, we got only a $15,000 partial refund, with David Blackerby keeping $5,000. This is downright theft in our eyes, especially since no permits were pulled, and we were never given a copy of the contract. It's hard to believe we were expected to pay for essentially nothing.

  We definitely do not recommend this company to anyone. Save your money and avoid the stress!

  New swimming pool

  We hired David Blackerby with Home Paradise Home Paradise Pools to install our new pool. He makes you feel very comfortable when 1st meeting and presenting drawings and cost after he is none existent except to pick up his checks. He does not pay his contractors
  - Did not call in 811 for locates and hit main gas line, gas company had to shut off gas and took 2 days to repair
  - Missed paver takeoff by 500 Sqft b/c he use photos to measure and not on site measurements, charged us for mistake
  - Ordered the wrong pavers, installed the wrong paver layout once new pavers were delivered
  - Did not remove pool soils for our tiny back yard to front, piled over 3' high on our home walls and shed, moving our shed over 6"s and out of level, buried any personal items or furniture in yard
  - Hit electrical conduit in area not associated with pool area because he did not remove soils to front yard, left conduit sticking out of ground, did not tell us and did not shut down breakers
  - Never communicates, only shows up to pick up money
  - At end of job told David how unhappy we were with his lack of communication, concern or our safety and home, so rather then pay his suppliers for products he calls them and says he was not paying to put a lien on our home if they wanted their money, we have paid in full
  - This is not a professional company and should not be trusted

  Build pool

  $48,000

  Yes, David price was a lot less than the other two quotes I had gotten. We had to wait awhile for construction to start. After it started it took about 4 months. Pool turned out great.
