    Install 2 stair lifts.

    This is a follow-up to my previous review. In spite of my previous experience with this company, I again contacted them earlier this month. Kim Fisch (Production Manager) had told me to contact her with any service or repair requirements. I emailed her and John Stetenford (the Design Representative here in New York that sold me the stair lifts) that the manual for the stair chairs recommends maintenance annually. I requested that they contact me to arrange for this maintenance. To date I have no receive a response. I subsequently found a company here in New York City to do the maintenance. That company responded immediately and did the job the same day. So much for Home Safety Solutions' customer service.

    $17,000

    Poor, took out a loan in my name of $17,000., in May 2017. Signed contract on May 02, 2017, stated they would be back on May 05, 2017, to date have never returned and hold the $17,000.00, no work has been done, Contract was conditional on plans, specifications, permits and details of job. None has been provided. I am now getting notices from a lender, GreenSky for payments when no work is done and Home Safety Solutions has been paid the entire price of the quote, with no oversight. Tried multiple times to cancel the contract, to no avail. The company is complaining they have materials, they purchased without my approval and refuses to return them, as the finance bill is running on me. Stay far away....let the buyer beware!

    I contracted with Home Safety Solutions for 2 stair chairs for my home in late November, 2016. The stair lifts were installed in January, 2017. In spite of the company's assertion on its web site that installation only takes hours, the installation took 2 days. The company also states both from its representatives and on its web site that the chairs are "whisper quiet". One of the chairs is indeed quiet. The other is very noisy. I have contacted the company representatives and even written to the CEO regarding this issue and they have ignored my requests to resolve it.

    Stair lift and estimate for porch build

    I would never recommend this company to anyone. I received an estimate to rebuild our porch of approximately $11,000.00. We already had the building materials; torn down the porch, but could not begin the rebuild due to our health issues. We were told that the " engineer needed to see the plans to give us the compleat estimate. We gave them our only set of plans when we were guaranteed that they would be mailed back the next day. It has been over two months and repeated phone calls to the company. I just received a phone call from "Sam" who stated to me that they did not have it . He told me they "threw it away". He did not the have the understanding of property law and the responsibilities of bailment. In addition, the sales person continued to tell us what the payments per month would be, not the true costs. When we received our copy of the agreement in the mail, my husband sat down and figured out that with the interest it would be more like $19,000.00. Need I say more? We had three days to revoke and my husband called and cancelled. It was too late to cancel the stairlift. It was installed. But when I looked into it, I found out that instead of over $6,000.00 I could have gotten the same thing for less than $3,000.00. T I had called what I thought was a government subsidized loan program(an advertisement on TV called PA Home Funding through Susquehanna Bank), and was told to leave a message. A few days later I received a call from this company saying that they were returning my call and wanted to setup an appointment. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. BEWARE, IT IS NOT THE GOVERNMENT.
