    Foundation

    We're very pleased with the workmanship of the ENTIRE crew - led by Kean and Dylan. We have a 60-year old block & base/pier & beam foundation that had deteriorating joists and cracked beams along the front of our home. The living room floor had a 4" variance from wall to wall. Now, the gap between the floor and the baseboard is gone and the surrounding rooms are "level." When Dylan came out for an estimate, he was very thorough. He was the ONLY estimator (of five companies) who crawled under the house to actually analyze our problem. Because of that, he was able to provide a better estimate…unlike the other (lower) estimates that included several contingencies of “depending upon what [they] find once [they] get under the house.” Dylna took the time to explain most houses aren't "exactly level" to begin with...and that repairing the foundation of our 60-year home wasn't going to miraculously make the whole house perfectly level. He also explained the possibility of "collateral damage" to sheetrock, door frames, baseboards, etc. And, although we experienced minimal sheetrock and door frame damage on the living room wall… that was anticipated and acceptable considering our issue. During the final phase of the foundation repair, the crew leader, Eddie, walked around the house and from room to room (multiple times) assessing how the house was responding as the crew shimmed the house below. We especially appreciate his concern to balance the leveling against any severe damage to the walls and particularly to the outer veneer around the house. He took time to ensure we were satisfied and he patiently answer (all) my questions. All in all, we’re pleased and feel Home Style Builders was the best company for our job.

    Pool

    I contacted Home Style Builders to demolish our swimming pool. The pool had developed reoccurring structural issues, which we had previously before without a permanent resolution. It was no longer cost effective to repair the pool. They provided me an estimate to repair the pool or demo it. They were forthcoming in telling me the repairs most likely would not be permanent and would probably continue to cause problems. After deciding to demo the pool, they scheduled it working with us to minimize the disruption to our property. They arrived on time, worked efficiently and did what they said they would do. I am very satisfied.
