Home Wizards

We loved working with Home Wizards. First of all they have a great sense of design. They understood our intent to keep our 1917 cottage looking like its era even though we were upgrading with double-paned windows and insulation. They respected our appreciation also of funky, sometimes found items from Second Use or from our home that we wanted to use for sentimental as well as practical reasons. They had solutions for incorporating our last-minute inspirations like adding a window seat as long as we had the wall down, and were clever at figuring out the best use of space to accommodate seating and storage. The Wizards rebuilt a handsome rail along our seawall path and cleverly figured out a sliding gate and stairway that allow for easy access to the beach while minimizing contact with the frequent large timber that appears in stormy weather. We trust the Wizards esthetic sense as well as their construction skills. We could not be happier with the improvements they have made and have received many, many compliments on the quality of the work. They are also super-nice guys. We look forward to our next project with them.

I would indeed recommend Home Wizards! Charlie and Evey were creative, helpful, thorough and delightful. Since much of the design and work was done long distance - I was in Wyoming, they on Vashon - good communication was even more important and helpful. I am happy and relieved to know that they are close by and can and will help me with any additional work.

Thank Heavens for Charlie and Evey. They recovered my house from three years as a rental and put it back in better shape than before - including a new deck, replacing a wall, new flooring throughout, new paint indoors and out and a wonderful new butcher block counter. They also helped with several lighting and electrical issues. And, they did most of this long distance, since I was still living in Wyoming for much of the work. They had wonderful and innovative suggestions and ideas. And they are my go-to guys for any additional help I need.

I was referred to Home Wizards by a local Realtor to remodel our kitchen and perform assorted upgrades. Charlie and Evey did an OUTSTANDING job with the kitchen design. They handled all of the logistics and we just sat back and watched them do their wizardry! Highly recommend them for any home remodeling needs!

Home Wizards was recommend to me which I am very grateful. Some adjectives that I would use to describe them would be: Honest, trustworthy, knowledgeable, skilled, competent, hardworking, efficient, affordable...Their breadth of knowledge is amazing. The quality of work impressive. It was a pleasure to do business with them. I would hire them again. I highly recommend them.

I hired the Home Wizards with the idea of fixing some problems in my beach cottage prior to putting it up for sale. Charlie and Everett did such an amazing job that I decided not to sell after all - the house is just too nice to part with. They have done a variety of jobs for me - renovated two bathrooms, gutted and totally remodeled a guest house, fixed ongoing issues with my well/water system, repaired and stained my deck, installed a davit so I can get my boat into the water...the list goes on. Whatever they do, their work is absolutely top-notch and reasonably priced. I should also mention that I live in New York for most of the year, so am not able to check on their progress as they are working. I feel totally confident just handing them the keys and coming back months later to see what they have done. I have always been really pleased not just with the quality of the work, but also with their design sense. They come up with great ideas I never would have thought of. And finally, I had last-minute guests this summer, and the Wizards worked extra-hard to make sure the bathroom reno was done on time. They are the best! Highly recommended!!

Seriously thorough in both estimate and examination of property. Only contractor who found a few problem areas before they became nightmares. Skilled in many areas, from painting to carpentry to electrical. They did a super job. I highly recommend Home Wizards.
