I paid Danny Coburn $48K to remodel my guest bath and kitchen.
They took 6 months to do the work. E erything in every review so far is true.
6 months after the job was done I wanted to hire someone else to redo my Master bath. Called a different contractor. He went up in my attic, came back down and his first words were, "Did y'all pull permits for that work?"
"I said of course,"
He said call the city, call them now, I can't even send my guys up in that mess."
HOLY SHIT!! No permits had been signed off.
I called Coburn LIVID! He sent out the electricians to tie up loose ends.
They did alright. THEY BURNED MY HOUSE DOWN!!Coburns electricians were still sitting in their truck doing paper work wheny son drove up and pointed out to them the house was on fire.
My house was a 90% LOSS.
ALMOST EVERYTHING WE OWNED WAS DESTROYED.
WHEN STATE FARM ASKED TO SEE HIS INSURANCE PAPERS ... OH, GUESS WHAT ?? MR. COBURN DIDN'T HAVE ANY INSURANCE.
It cost StateFarm $285K to rebuild my house. We put in $65K of our own money for upgrades. So, $48K for the initial cost and $65K of our saving. $113K of our saving and $285K from State Farm. $390K dollars to rebuild my house
It took 2 full years because StateFarm tore it down to the foundation and rebuilt every brick and 2x4.Out of the whole freaking fiasco COBURN WASN'T OUT 1 DAMNED DIME.
HIS LAST WORDS TO ME STANDING IN MY YARD AFTER HE TOLD ME AND THE ADJUSTER HE HAD NO INSURANCE, "Peggy, let me know if Lisa and I can do anything for you."
Oh I don't know Danny, why don't you give me back my $48,000.00 I paid you.
COBUN PASSES HIMSELF OFF AS A FINE UPSTANDING GOD FEARING CHRISTIAN ... YEAH, ROT IN HELL.

All about the money but the quality doesn’t match. Subs complain about Not being paid, never on schedule. Must be an inexperienced contractor. I would run the other direction.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They were not committed to our project. The subcontractors would come and ask us what it was they were supposed to be doing. Lots of corners were taken... some that created aesthetically unappealing designs and rework, but others more agregious - ex: He didn’t care to tie our roof in, we went without heat for 4 days when the temperatures were in the low 20s!! Their negligence caused mold inside our home to the studs. They had no urgency to address the problem.
Many contractors sat outside our home waiting for payment. They all at some point complained of non payment. It was very sad.
On several occasions, they told us they had no money & requested an advance from us.
I could go on...

Showed up on time to pick up a check, but that was about it. Could not maintain a schedule. Could not keep quality subcontractors on site. Hired subcontractors that he had never used before and I had to field supervise. Very unprofessional.
