We had him do a lot of different things at our cabin and it all came out amazing. He is a very hard worker and we're very happy with the work. Would hire again!

Replace popcorn ceilings and installed LVT flooring
    $12,000

Where do I even start...2 years later and the problems are still not resolved! We hired Jonathan to do two jobs on our home we had just purchased in 2018. One was to take out all of the popcorn ceiling throughout our upper level about 2,100 sq ft, and put in expensive LVT flooring in the entire house. He spent about two weeks doing this huge job by himself. He admitted right out the gate that he normally does not install the type of flooring that we had purchased. It was not a snap in style but needed a tapping block to install it. That should have been a red flag not to hire him, but I am very trusting. After Jonathan finished the floor I started noticing things like sloppy work including bumps and chips in different places on the ends of the boards. We also noticed gaps and at the time of the installation there were two gaps in the hallway and I stupidly allowed him to fill them in with putty because I felt sorry for him thinking that he would have to take up a lot of the flooring to fix it, only later finding out that there’s a way to remove and replace the boards individually. After a few months he had to come back and replace some boards where I saw chips and more gaps. I finally contacted the Paradigm flooring company and filed a claim. They sent out an inspector who told me that the problems we were having were due to improper installation and from Jonathan hitting the boards too hard and not using the proper tapping tool which he then left for me, and that he had never seen this type of damage...ever! Jonathan agreed to come out two more times and even bought a box of flooring after I told him about the claim and that it was his fault. He repaired a few more areas, one of them the same place in front of my dishwasher... twice!!! The last time he came out, he didn’t even try to replace a few boards and when I asked him why, he said there was nothing he could do! What he really meant was that he DIDN’T want to repair his crappy work! A one point I even asked him if he used 1/4” spacers between the floor and walls and he said “no, he hadn’t.” Really! Before he left on his 4th and last time, I also mentioned to him that the ceiling job was messy looking and our painter had pointed out how bad it looked! The stuff he sprayed is peeling in some places, and you can still see popcorn around the edges. He had come out a few months after putting it in to repair a crack he left in my master bathroom! Yikes!!! I think Jonathan is a very mediocre handyman, certainly not a floor installation expert, or even a contractor quality. I really kick myself for not hiring a quality contractor, and waiting almost 2 years when Incould have filed a formal complaint against his license . What a nightmare, save yourself and don’t hire this guy for big jobs or you will be very frustrated like I have been. $12,000 dollars later and now have to hire a flooring company to fix his mistakes. Ugh!!!!!

This contractor was hired to complete numerous repairs on a home I just purchased and I could not be more dis satisfied. They were supposed to fix the dry rot in the eves in two places and they only attempted to repair one but of course charged for both. They scabbed in a small piece of mismatched wood into my sofet near my back patio and now it leaks because you can see light through the crookedly cut board and through the roofing that was disturbed. The other section of dry rot was just covered with flashing. Not a legitimate repair. They were also supposed to repair some water savaged and swelled flooring the the master bathroom but instead of repairing it they just covered it up and re caulked the base of the tub. The gutters were supposed to be serviced but the gutters along the front of the house were not even touched. There are many other similar issues with the work that was performed. I would call them back to properly complete the repairs that were paid for but I would rather fix these things myself than allow these hacks to damage my house further. This outfit should be out of business.
