  Terrible Contractor

  Terrible experience. He tore our house apart, stored supplies in our yard, garage and basement (yes - all at the same time). He ran out of money during the job so we had to buy the supplies. Eventually he stopped showing up all together. We had to hire somebody else to finish the job - after he said it would be 4 weeks...we gave him 12 weeks and then finally fired him. DO NOT HIRE SCOTT BOROWSKY.

  E X C E L L E N T. Scott was recommended to us by a friend; Scott finished their basement. Our job was on a smaller scale-- turning a window in a laundry room into a door and we threw in a few other needed fixes on the exterior into the work request. Scott's work took two days and he was arrived at 8:30am and finished for each day around 3pm. Scott's personality is wonderful; very pleasant as well as knowledgable about the work he performs. He took care of measuring and ordering the new door and bringing it to our house. Scott treated our small project as if it were his home he was working on and made sure to hit all the details before annoucing the job as finished. Due to heavy rain, one small item could not be finished, so we paid him for what was done; Scott found time to finshs the last item which only took about 1/2 hr. Additionally, during the project we talked about the ant problem we'd been experienceing and Scott recommended a specific bait he'd used that worked-- then about a week later he texted me a picture of the product while he was at Home depot. I thought that was extremely thoughtful of him and very much out of the norm for a typical contractor. Best of all, Scott carted away ALL of the trash he'd created-- truly a bonus when you consider that our trash men sometimes don't take everything put at the curb.

  Scott's prices are fair and we were totally happy with the work he did; it's important to note that my husband is handy himself, so there was a more critical eye looking at Scott's work.

  We would hire Scott back in a heartbeat. The only "con" of Scott is that he's in high demand and hard to get at a drop of a hat. For us, it worked out well to get ourselves on Scott's schedule about a month in advance. Still, that he is busy is proof that he does good work.

  With no hesitation whatsoever, we recommend Scott M. Borowsky.
