    If you are looking to hire him or have already hired him (1) please make sure he spell out scope of the project in his contract. (2) Do not trust what he sell to you/promise vs. what he put in his contract. Pay him only if he met some mile stone that you put in contract. (3) Ask him what If there is delay in project (any reason) what will be his responsibilities and pay him accordingly. (4) He will make changes in middle of project without consulting to you and come up with excuses and justify his changes,

    In my experience Ian Mattison/Hous Pros lacks professionalism/ no show up when promised/ after work not clean up of leftover material etc. For my project he DID NOT delivered what he promised, I did not do my home work prior to hiring him and paid the price / mental suffering in dealing with him. He promised for 6-8 weeks once start (key) vs completed after 11 months. Poor communication and not trust worthy person.

    The county paper work was done incorrectly and after 9 months of project completion county paper work and inspection is not done per county guideline. I am not sure if he ever will do so I will follow thru with state licensing commission.

    Bottom Line - Do not recommend. It is not worth hiring this contractor.
