Hovey Services (Dan Hovey of Cedar Falls,Ia) was hired to do plumbing & HVAC work on our 8plex project. We are building a total of five 8plexes. The first building was finished with a few issues but he was hired back for build two. Within a couple months of construction on building two, he began failing to show up and wouldn't answer his phone. He was given a large amount of money up front that was to go for materials (i.e. Furnaces, tubs, water heaters etc..). Those materials never arrived on the job site and he completely stopped showing up. He was ultimately fired from the job and now I'm filing suit against him. Also, plan to talk with our County Attorney about criminal charges. Nothing but lies from this guy. Save yourself the trouble and stay away from this guy.

Danial Hovey was hired to complete HAVC and Plumbing work on a hew home. Danial installed the worng furnace and incoorectly sized ductwork. The furnace overheated and Danial refused to correct the issue. In the summer the Air quit working after a few months. Too much freon. I had to replace the whole heating and colling system, at a cost of over 5000.00. I sued Danial and won. Now he will not pay, look Danial up on Iowacourts.com. Call the board of health.
