Siding work. Had HPS Construction work on the siding and didn't do anything we agreed on. At first from the road the siding looks great, until you get up close. At the time a guy named Steve was the owner. But now a guy named Tom Watson owns it. Haven't heard anything back yet from him and this siding is put up so badly. A construction company put my porch up and had to take part of the siding off. He was pulling it off with his bare hands.
The construction company that put up my porch said that he wouldn't let this company put up his dog house. And he doesn't like putting down other construction companies. Nothing is put up right. They had to fix it 2 times now and it's still not done right. The problem is that I am not here during the work as I have a job in Michigan. So most of the year I am not here. They worked on the siding both times when I was not there. Looks like a quick job and off to the next house.
The first time they didn't put up the house wrap and weren't going to do it but I hired 2 different home inspectord that cost me $400. And I never was reinbersed. Finially The company came back after I was gone of course, to finish it. And I am still not happy. I called up Steve and he laughed and said that he is not the owner. He would get in touch with Tom Watson. Never heard back from him for over 2 weeks now. Just goes to show you that you should never have anything done with a construction company if you are not present during the construction. My next step is to take them to court if Tom Watson is not going to finish the job right. Steve is the one I have to go to court with. -

HPS construction built a 30 x 24ft garage attached to our existing home. Communication, workmanship and price was exceptional. Would recommend them.

By L. D.September 13, 2016rebuild deck$5,39014 daysRead more
Hired (and paid deposit) this company to rebuild my deck and install a vinyl awning on 4/18/16. Met with a builder on 5/9 and he said that he would start next day on May 10. Deck looked like it was built by a couple of 10-year-olds (of either gender). Nails were protruding all over the place, half of the stair balusters were not even attached. Half of the deck boards had very deep knots in them, the deck was not attached to one of the support posts. Also removed a part of my vinyl siding to do the stairs and did not replace until 2 weeks later after repeated requests. Way too much to list. To make a frustratingly long story short(er) They finally sent another crew out to redo the deck a few weeks later on June 1. The deck looked much better but they used nails instead of the screws that I paid extra for. I actually came home while they were re-rebuilding the deck, heard the nail gun and asked them about it to which they replied that they could not pull up the nails because it would ruin the wood and that they nails they used would not pop up. (They are already starting to pop up). I contacted the builder and asked him when my awning would be installed as he had promised it would be done the same time as the deck. The builder claimed that the awning had not come in yet (which I later found out had been shipped on 4/18. He did get the awning on 6/2 (I was out of town that weekend) but it was too late to have the party that I had planned with my nephew who passed away on June 9. The awning was leaking very heavily and still a couple of the deck boards were cracked and split. They sent someone out twice to seal the leak but never once bothered to check to make sure that it had been fixed and needless to say that it is still leaking on September 13. They replaced 2 cracked deck boards with boards that are entirely different color and one of them is not even the same length and neither are the same thickness. It has been 4 months since they started what I call the DECK DISASTER and almost 5 months since I made the mistake of hiring this company. I am beyond frustrated and plan to file a complaint with the Tennessee Contractors Licensing Board as well as in Small Claims Court. Stay far far away from this company.

By Brian L.April 29, 2016Roof replacement$6,5001 day
We had to have our roof replaced. So I contacted HPS Construction and spoke with Tom Watkins. Tom came out the next day and was very professional as well as through. Tom gave me options and a great price on the work that needed to be done. 3 days later Tom's crew was at my house to start the work which was completed in a day. My wife and I are very happy with the work that was done, and the price that we were charge. I highly recommend HPS Construction and would not hesitate to call them for other home repairs... Thanks HPS ...

Dont hire them..they kept asking for more and more money and stated that at end of each project then I would pay the next deposit. Yeah lies. They couldn't even install my electric correctly nor my heat pump replacement and charged me 2200 more than I paid another company to replace the brand new unit because it was starting to catch fire. So for 2500 they put in a single heating element when I needed a double or triple so yea dont hire them. They will take you for what you got.
