We had a good experience with Solar City. We ran into a couple glitches with inspections and set up but they handled them quickly and efficiently. I am not sure these glitches were on Solar City but more a combination with the electric company and the town. Solar City helped guide us in the right direction and told us what questions to ask to find solutions.

Solar City did the install of my solar panels.
The work and the prep for the work (they measure the roof and pitch) went fine
The only issue I had and it appears it still exists is an error in the permit application.
I stated to them to resubmit with the proper address and then I would sign what ever
it was that they wanted at the time I believe it was a sketch of the panel layout and converter location.
I was pleased with solar city and upset with NSTAR dragging there feet.

I first had them install solar at my home before bringing them to my workplace. On both counts they have been excellent at all levels. I have found them to be responsive, timely and accurate in their projections about power generation, savings, etc. The company where I work is a not-for-profit serving adults with disabilities. As such, we watch every dime we spend and try to find ways to save money anywhere possible. Going with Solar City in 2012 for our largest building (corporate headquarters and two day programs) has saved us several thousands of dollars in electricity costs annually on our 30,000 sq. ft. building... we now get 80% of our electricity from the solar panels.
I am a big supporter! I have no basis for comparison between Solar City and other solar providers (at the time we installed the panels in 2012 there weren't as many options as there are now) but am very happy with the decision to go with Solar City.
