we hired Hudson plumbing to fix a toilet that was loose !! Hudson plumbing was called by a tenant who was putting down new tile !! when the toilet was moved for tiling work the problem with the toilet being loose was recognized !! Hudson came to reset the toilet and quoted a price of $300.00 which I thought was high !! I wrote a check for $250.00 !! the plumber ( Hudson ) found there wasn't anything to fasten the toilet to !! there was concrete that had deteriorated and he ( Hudson ) said we need to get gat a carpenter to replace the wood and the concrete would have to be jack hammered out !! after talking to several local plumbers we learned this was a very common occurrence in older homes !! we asked for our money back !! in the meantime we contacted pat the plumber who was familiar with toilets in this condition !! the concrete that was deteriorated to the point it was easily removed with a hammer & the concrete replaced with a quick drying concrete mixture which allowed for the toilet to be reset !! it was a fairly easy fix that plumbers are familiar with !! the entire fix was $340.00 !! Hudson did refund $ 100.00 & kept $150.00 for a service fee that seemed excessive considering he didn't provide any service & couldn't fix a very common problem !! unsatisfied Richard Flynn 1 336 848 7440 Huntington wv southside
