My house was built brand new by this contractor and I've lived in it for a little under 2 years. The house was built extremely poorly. So many things that should be lined up or have symmetry in the home look completely offset and wonky. Every single countertop installed isn't attached to the wall and there is a gap behind them. Almost every corner of the house the paint has come off from the wall underneath being installed poorly and moving beneath the paint. I can physically feel the walls shaking when the wind blows. In the basement there are spaces where there's light coming in that I don't even understand. How are there holes in the house where there's supposed to be a foundation? Horribly insulated, cold air comes in from everywhere. I'd regret paying $50k for this home let alone the over $200k I payed for it brand new. It is absolutely awful I've never been so unsatisfied. Cheap apartments are built better. And like the above comment, they installed the wrong color siding on my home as well like they don't even reference the desires of the buyer. What a scam.

First time home buyer here, I bought a spec home through these guys. I picked my colors, cabinets, etc. and everything was going great. Fast forward to two weeks before closing, I get a call from my realtor that the builders (hunter homes) put up the wrong color of siding and can’t pull it off so they are just hoping I’ll accept. When I asked if they were going to paint over the siding they placed for the color I chose they refused stating that at the bottom of the material page where I picked out my colors and cabinets states the builder has the right to change material. (Mind you this isn’t a different material it’s a different color.) I then asked if they would at least buy the materials needed so that I can paint the place myself to fix their mistake which they again refused. My fiancé, who has worked in every type of construction imaginable, is irate with the lack of accountability and pure laziness this company has. Completely unacceptable. They take advantage of first time home buyers. Do not go through this company if you want things done right.

Our home was built on Diamond Ridge Blvd by Hunter Homes. Well, what isnt wrong with this cheaply made home? To start, we took advantage of the 1 year warranty on two sections of sidewalk that was rapidly sinking and needing re-poured. Our linoleum sheet floring was pieced together and a year after install the OSB subfloor was exposed and the floor had ripped. The replacement floor they installed was LVP and was installed horrible OVER the linoleum sheet. A year after the replacement floor was installed, its separating and pealing. The primary bedroom is always cold or hot and does seem to ever match the house. We have a diagonal cracking forming on the laundry room door (probably foundation issues). Neighbors down the street have had foundation issues twice now. The driveway and garage floors have noticeable sections where the gravel under has settled (yoy cs hear the hallow spots when you walk across). And finally I just discovered that the "fix" to the deck footings being poured off center of the 4x4 post was to pour an even bigger footing around the old footing (cardboard still surrounding the original post). Down the "new" footing is chipping amd exposing the old footing. This will inevitably threaten my decks stability. Finally, the road we live on, is sinking horribly and has already been patched after just 1 year. DO NOT BUY A HOUSE BUILT BY HUNTER HOMES!!! they only care about money and don't care about building quality homes affordable homes.
