Hunters Flooring is the worst. They subcontract the work, which Lowes subcontracts Hunters. This is why the labor is so expensive. Everyone’s review is 100% correct about them and do not use them

    wall to wall carpeting
    $1,064

Never will I purchase any type of flooring from Lowes. I ordered beautiful carpeting and their installers (Hunter Flooring) made a mess of my woodwork; scratches everwhere. I took pictures of most of the scratches. I just noticed a long scratch on my coffee table and they used a cover up on it. I've lived in my house a long time and have had carpeting installed 3 x's plus this one. These were the worst installers ever. Take heed before letting Hunter's do your installation. I wouldn't have given 1 Star, but had to, to submit this review.

    Tile a backsplash

Lowes sent Hunter flooring out to install a subway tile backsplash. After waiting over a month for job to be done installer came in with an attitude and refused to do the job without charging me additional $$$$ to put all new Sheetrock , when there is nothing wrong with Sheetrock is in perfect condition. Supervisor at Hunter won’t even come to the phone Shame on Lowes for using such a unethical company

    install floors
    $5,000

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They installed wood floors for me in my living room. They went right over the crawl space access. I called the installation manager to have them come out and fix their mistake. He told me that I paid them to install floors and that's what they did. He also told me that I could fix it myself. He was rude and condescending. He could have cared less about the quality of the job or correcting a blatant mistake. He got his money and washed his hands of the situation. The workmanship is terrible and the way they treat customers is even worse. If you are looking for qualify workmanship THIS IS NOT THE COMPANY! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

    kitchen and bathroom floor
    $1,400

Heed the warnings. Do not have lowes or hunter flooring install your flooring. You think trusting lowes to send you a reliable contractor to install your flooring. Think again. Hunter Flooring is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. They make bigger problems then they when they started. I paid lowes to have the flooring company uninstall and install a toilet in a bathroom I was having LVT tile installed. The guy they sent couldn't do it. He said he had to go to lowes for a part and never came back. Water leaked all in the basement. I contacted the flooring company and told them what happened he said call a plumber and have him fix it. Where can you get a plumber at 5:00pm at night. I had to leave my house for a night. $265 later my toilet is installed properly for a reliable plumber but no refund from the flooring company. You have to pay lowes in full so you have no recourse to have someone come back and fix things. Plus once you pay lowes at your local store, they don't want to deal with you anymore. They give you a 1800 number but that's a black hole. No one ever gets back to you to help fix the problems. I have to spend more money to hire a contractor to fix what they couldn't do right. By the way, they do not measure or use a saw to cut the moulding. They 'eyeball' it and use what looks like pruning shears. I would have left negative stars if I could. Think twice before you contracting lowes or hunter flooring.

    lay flooring
    $7,500

I had Bamboo installed on my stairs, landing and 3 bedrooms. A year and half later I am getting large gaps in the flooring in front of my bedroom door. I called Hunter and they send someone out. The guy tried to hammer it back but it didn't work. He said it was installer error that with the bamboo the planks should be glued together. So I call Hunter to see what they are going to do. They will fix the floor if I pay for 2 boxes of flooring, a threshold, $211.00 to come out PLUS labor. I also called DEPTFORD LOWES and they were of no help. Everyone wants to help you when you are deciding to purchase!! I don't understand why they wont stand behind their work. I also have gaps by all the heating registers on the floor, in a couple of places they cut the bamboo short against the wall and you can see it. The quarter round doesn't hid it. I am now going to have to call another company to come and fix it. Why would I pay them to fix it if they didn't do it right the first time. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!

    Carpeting and laminate
    $5,400

Also WARNING! Had laminate and carpeting installed in out home in New Jersey. Hunter Flooring hired subcontractors. To say the least carpeting subcontractors destroyed doors, put holes in newly paint drywall, stratched finishes off of furniture and put hole in new mattress in bedroom. No reply or remediation from Hunter Flooring or Lowe's Millville, NJ. Would recommend not allowing these sub par contractors in your home!!

WARNING - THINK TWICE BEFORE USING THIS COMPANY OR LOWES!! Their quality is horrible and they do not want to stand by their work. They don't care that jobs go unfinished; they don't show up on time, they damaged my home and then have taken the position that it's no big deal. Otherwise they'd be working with me to remedy the situation. Their customer service is the worst, even the manager does not call when they say they will. Six months the job still looks horrible and is unfinished. Does not even deserve 1 star.

    kitchen backsplash
    $0

Not Professional. The crew did not show up between the time promised. When I called them, they said they will come in 15 min. They did not show up for another hour. When I called them again, the operator said that Crew was outside my door and I did not open the door. REALLY! Liars also. I did cancel my order made through Lowes. If you don't care about time then you can let them in your home. Goodluck

Tile in entryway, small bathroom, kitchen, front closet. I contracted through Lowe's - they hired H
    $4,000

I contracted through Lowe's in Delran, NJ to have laminate flooring and tile installed in my newly purchased home. First of all let me say, I am so very very sorry that I went to Lowe's. I trusted them to contract with a company who were reputable and knew what they were doing. Hunter's Flooring did not! When Ian came to the house to take measurements, he brought 3 others with him who he said he was training. He was very rude to this 67 year old woman. One of the other men with him kept lagging behind and apologized to me. I went to Lowe's after and told them I did not want Ian back in my house. Then there were multiple delays - I had been told by Lowe's the flooring would be in by Thanksgiving. When I realized this wasn't going to happen, I cancelled the laminate and contracted through Costco - flooring in within a week and done professionally. Unfortunately, I still contracted to have the tile done in my entryway, kitchen, and small 2nd bathroom through Lowes/Hunter's. When the scheduled day finally came (Dec. 11 - NOT before Thanksgiving...) 2 men came - the one who spoke English told me it was his 1st day on the job. I had an independent contractor doing other work in the house. He told me to make sure that when Hunter's removed the linoleum, to make sure to scrape off the paper backing before laying new tile or "I'd have problems down the road." Well, when I discovered the paper wasn't being removed, I showed them how to peel it off. They contacted their boss (Sean?) who called me and said that his guys didn't need to do that, that to get it off he'd have to bring in a jack hammer. I told him that I was able to peel it off by hand. So we agreed, they'd remove all that could easily be removed. The 2nd day on the job - the new guy didn't come back. The other guy showed up at 7am and started sawing tile in my yard - in this 55 and over community. I tried to explain to him that it was too early but he didn't speak English, so I started texting my new neighbors apologizing. By mid-day, there were 4 guys laying tile - much of which were laid and grouted the same afternoon. They told me not to walk on it until the next day, but they were walking all over it. I woke at 5am and found "cemented" footprints all over my new tile, tiles that were not laid evenly (1/8-1/4" higher than the one next to it), tile separators grouted to the floor, the closet door attachment not put back, lots of grout on tile under appliances, and the new dishwasher kick plate missing. It took me 6 hours to remove grout from the floor, walls, my new flooring where they had walked, and my front yard was littered with cigarette butts and cemented grout. I called Hunter's the following day and complained bitterly but they told me to call Lowe's who would then call them. I did - and complained bitterly. I told them they needed to come back and fix (I should have told them to send someone else) but I did not want them in my house until after Christmas. Sean and one of the originals came back and have to rip out about 20% of the tiles and redo, then come back the next day and grout. Again - dust all over. Yes, they cleaned up better but when I asked Shawn if they had cleaned under the frig and stove he said yes. I found out later, no. Oh, yes. And they left 3 50lb. bags of white tile powder in my garage - they need to be returned but I cannot lift them. And, I have to hire painters to come back and touch up newly painted walls and my independent contractor to "clean up" work done shoddily and figure out what to do under the dishwasher. This company should NOT be in business. Lowe's - get rid of them! I'd give them no stars if I could

    Carpet installation
    $1,300

Hunter's is the worst company ever and I wholeheartedly agree with the other customer Joe Bellini!
They installed my carpet incorrectly and then did not fix the problem. When I called they would promise to call me the "next day to schedule the installers to come back" but the next day never came. I spent over two months trying to get them to just do the job they were paid for with no success. I would strongly recommend to NEVER use LOWES or HUNTERS for any flooring. I am sure you will regret it as I did! I plan on switching to Home Depot unless I find out that use Hunter's!

Lowes sent this company to do my vinyl plank flooring last week. I can't speak highly enough of the job they did. They were very accommodating moving furniture and other items around while working with limited space. I was very stressed before they started but they put my mind at ease within an hour. They did my bedroom and kitchen first which allowed me to live comfortably throughout the 2 day event. They even accommodated my stressed out kitties. They arrived promptly and even finished earlier than I anticipated. Floors look fabulous and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future!

The worst flooring company I ever experienced. Shawn from customer service or installation is absolutely useless, and when is shown up he hides behind charging the customer more. So the first experience with these clowns was during the summer months they were hired by Lowe’s to install a hardwood floor. Their intelligent installers told me there was no plywood under my old carpet just partial board, can u imagine that? How would partial board hold up someone???? So once hunter was thrown off the job lowe’s Hired another contractor to do it and it was done right. Now I purchase laminate for my basement and after hunters sends a rep to check out everything and order product the time comes for the install. These idiots send out the same crew and of course there’s an issue, they need more product and of course time to jack up the price. Totally useless company stay far away from them!!!

My name is Joe Bellini in case my name don’t show!
