I have had this contractor do several jobs for me. A couple were $10,000 improvements. I am very particular and seen a whole house remodel he had completed, that's why I chose him. He is licensed and insured, and always "gets er done".
Of the 2 big jobs he had completed, one was taking 2 basement windows, not of code and replacing them with proper e-egress windows. These windows have to be properly sealed or else you will have leaks. It's been about 7 years now. About winter time, I was in the spare room which one of the e-egress windows were installed and noticed discoloration on the bottom of the drywall. I just thought something had gotten spilled and splashed on the wall. Then we got that week of rain. I was down in the room again, and now I noticed a 8" circle of area right below the right window sill where all the paint sagged awfully. Now the drywall towards the floor under the window is blackening with mold. This job is defective and needs to be fixed! I called Mr Hunting on 6/24/11 and he was suppose to come the following Sunday or Monday to check it out and repair it. He never showed and has refused to return my calls.
Would you choose an unethical contractor?
