I did not have a good experience with this contractor. It might have been impacted by the fact that I was renting my townhouse and had moved 4 hours away so I was not dealing with them directly. As a renter you don't have much flexibility in responding to a heat or air issue. You fell you just need to get it repaired so the tenants have heat and air. I have to say they were very responsive for the tenant in completing the repairs. I just found their charges were on the high side and at one point they recommended replacing our system completely. The system was placed in service in august of 2011 and wasn't even off warranty yet they said it was close to the end of its life. The unit in the attic had been replaced in 2015. It didn't seem to me that it should be at the end of its life, so I didn't authorize the repair. So, after the lease ended, I had the HVAC system reviewed to determine if it really needed to be replaced. The contractor found everything in good working order and did not recommend that we replace the system. They did note that Starplus had left off the panel on the main panel door on the outside unit. The unit in the attic also had the door not reattached and a panel that should have been put inside the unit to protect from heat was also left on the floor outside the until. It certainly makes one question whether their carelessness is why the HVAC continued to fail over the past 6 months while we were leasing our unit.
