    Whole House Remodel

    We deeply regret hiring HWG services.

    Their remodel work for us was both severely behind schedule and terribly over budget. Even though it was a substantial remodel HWG didn't apply for permit until months into the job, which caused significant delays. Soon after they started the work, they increased the budget by tens of thousands of dollars without any changes to the scope of work and without any correlating increase in material cost. Their work was of poor quality and significant parts of it needed to be redone at our cost. Their billing is convoluted and mired with inconsistencies, making it hard to understand. After careful review, we found that we were billed for items that were never provided and were double billed for other items.

    HWG Services’ work on our property failed inspection numerous times. Although they guaranteed they would fix their work after being unable to pass even rough inspection they quit the job. Despite quitting, they still wanted payment in full for work they left half done and in need of substantial revision just to pass inspection.

    And this is just the short list...

    What we learned the hard way is to read the negative reviews first. In HWG services case we found the negative reviews to be very similar to our experience with them, from the lack of attention to details, to not filing for a permit, to a budget that just kept inflating, to the lack of respect for our property.
