My husband and I hired hydrotech pool to do our pool in January 2022, it took them over 5 months to get paperwork done. They finally start digging the pool last week of June then they did not show up to my house until last week of august to shot the concrete. Every time I called I kept getting the run around as to why they can’t shot the pool and their excuses was oh they can’t find a concrete company that wants to come to our area. It was all a lied I called the owner Damien he never return the calls or emails us back. First week of September came around I reached out to Vince he told me he quit, they put another guy in charge and he end up quitting 3 weeks later. It’s been a mess and a headache to deal with this company. I made multiples phone calls with no answer, this week I finally learn that hydrotech is out of business, they have close their office down and both Katrina and Damien the owner they all lied to customers, the took people hard earn money and just leave them dry. They don’t even bother to find another company to help finish these projects, they just turn their backs on us and take our money. I learned that Damien owes money to a lot of subcontractors and most of them are putting liens on home owner’s properties because they have not been paid by hydrotech. Damien scammed hard working people out of their hard earned money and just pack up and leave both him and Katrina are not to be trusted. I hope to never have to deal with them ever again. Now I am in the process of trying to get another company to take over what they have started and no one really wants to do that because they don’t want to get involved with another company mess. So heads up run far away from these people.

    swimming pool repair / replace

Hired Hydrothech Pools to repair/ resurface a pool in June of 2021. The company gave us an invoice for 30% down, $3,063.00 June 14, 2021, and a check was mailed to them. The owner Damian Maroney sent an email June 22, 2021, stating that July 22, 2021, was the start date for the pool. That day came and went with zero work happening. On August 2, 2021, we sent an email asking for an updated schedule, Damian replied 8/11/2021 stating that he is waiting for pool finish. We played this going to start and not showing up for over a year. On July 14, 2022, I called the service department spoke to a Jamie and she didn't have an info for me said she didn't have anything to do with scheduling, but she took my name and number to pass on to Vince. I did get Jamie to give me Vince's number and I called and sent a text message 7/14/22 with no answer. I also sent an email to Katrina, the second in charge according to Jamie, her response let me investigate that for you.
On 7/19/22 called office again and was but on speaker phone and told they are waiting for Vince to come in to set up times. On 7/19/22 they call Mr. Howell and tell him that the job will start 8/1/22. The company shows up at the house 7/21/22 and 7/22/22 drains the pool and removes some of the tile, we are thinking okay it's going to finely happen, but they haven't been back. on 8/3/2022 I emailed Katrina with not reply, did call the office and she answered, just giving the run around she didn't know anything, and Vince quit.

    Don't Use. As of August 13, 2022, over a year I don't have a pool.

By far the most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with. Hired Jaime Maroony to refinish our pool and it turned into months of excuses as to why he couldn't show up to do the job. After doing most of the preparation myself, including draining and washing, because he wouldn't show up, he hired the worlds worst "tile guy" to install the expensive tile we purchased and it turned out extremely unlevel and generally unprofessional looking. The person he hired wasn’t a tile guy at all! Jaime wasn't around to supervise the job either. Jamie said it was fine as its just aesthetics and only repaired a few spots. Just aesthetics! The tile is over an inch out of level in several areas, which is clear as day to anyone! Looks like complete garbage! I truly think this has devalued our pool since the waterline tile looks worst than it did before we invested in refinishing (it WAS level beforehand)! He agreed to a month of service in order to maintain the water balance after plaster and never showed up again. I contacted Jaime to request a partial refund and he said to not contact him again and his lawyer would be in touch.

Want months worth of uncalled for frustration and a contractor completely unwilling to do the right thing? A job that ends up worse than you could have ever imagined? Hire this company!

    Verified Hire
    Pool and Spa Construction project

Renovation to update. New tile, resurface and change depth of pool from 61/2 foot deep end to 41/2 foot. My husband & I like playing volleyball and the deep end didn't work for that. We contacted about 8 different pool business. Out of that many had 2 come out for estimate. Came across Buildzoom and they contacted Hydrotech. They were quick to contact us, and had us a estimate within a week. The sales man who helped with picking out tile and resurface color was very helpful. Rob was our supervisor for the renovation and checked on status of project often. Pool looks very nice would recommend Hydrotech.
