Bonded

Estimate prior to and during paving was continually done by word of mouth only. As I am a believer in a man's word is his bond, I authorized additional work to be done in addition to the original agreement. Once completed, paving was THEN measured, and suddenly the amount was $2,500 over the agreed upon amount. Finally settled on paying $1,000 dollars over, should have stuck to my guns, but was tired of haggling. Also, a small amount was left undone, and more than 6 months later, work has still not been completed. Wished I would have said no and got some estimates from "real" paving companies. Ike's business model appears to be to show up at someone's property and talk them into a "great" deal because they have a load of left over material and can do the job at a greatly reduced rate. Also learned after the fact, not that greatly reduced. Now I am left with an incomplete driveway that is also severely cracking.
