Israel Mizrahi Dba I M Electric
Israel is neither an experience nor a trust worthy electrician. Recently I gave him a simple job to relocate a bathroom vanity light position. He relocated the wire position and left the box ready to install the fixture whenever my bathroom remodeling will be completed. He said he moved the wire in the attic and put a new wire junction box in the attic. I trusted him and gave him the money without testing if new connection/ light is works since bathroom was being re-tiled .
Later on when I install the light fixture it didn’t work and I bought a tester and checked the connection and found no power to the wire, I went up in the attic and saw that he didn’t install a junction box, the wires are exposed. I called him and he was nowhere to be found. I called and left several voice message but no luck, after months of calling he answered and he said he was in vacation and just came back and he will come by one day since he has lot of back logs.
Anyway, he showed up and this time he said the switch is no good whereas it was working when I had the old lights and it’s a double switch and the other part is connected to fan and it works. He said he doesn’t have a switch (an electrician with a van without a single switch in his inventory, hard to believe). Anyway, he want me to buy the switch and he will be back later to install. When I called him next day with the switch, he said I have to pay him again for his time. This is ridiculous because I already paid him to relocate and it should be working.
In my eye, he is a dishonest and an inexperience electrician.
Dishonest because he said he put a junction box in the attic but he didn’t, he lied.
Secondly, let’s say the switch is bad then how did he test his work in the first place when he re-wired he should have found out then, not now. He just want to nickel and dime on me.
I decided to suit him, I may or may not win but he will end up spending a day or two in the court and law-suit paper trail will exist when anyone search him by his name or his company in the website !
