Zero stars. my experience was terrible. I had a small oil leak in an abandoned underground oil tank. Ed set me up with his engineer buddy to remediate the soil. They both refused to give me even a ballpark estimate. Ed repeatedly told me horror stories about other customers who had leaks. I asked for an estimate between $15,000 and $60,000, and he said it was impossible to give me one. I was sick just thinking about the cost. I fired him, and got the job finished and approved for under $9000. Ed is fine if your tank didn't leak. But if it did, don't go with his buddy. Fire him and save yourself a fortune.

By Pat O.May 18, 2018Oil tank removal from Basement$750
In Earth Excavating removed an oil tank and all the associates piping from my basement. The oil was removed and tank sectioned to facilitate removal. Ed and his staff were excellent, our basement was left in pristine condition and all completed in a half a day. I would highly recommend In Earth Excavating to anybody.

By Pete S.March 31, 2018soil remediation
Awhile ago I hired In Earth Excavating to remove several leaking gas tanks on property I owned. The whole process is very nerve racking because of the size of it and environmental concerns. Ed came in with his crew and along with Frey Engineering the job was handled in the most professional manner. I was advised constantly of the job status and Ed even went above and beyond to help me get proper paperwork when I was not available to do so myself. In Earth coordinated everything from the initial estimate to the final landscaping and I cannot thank them enough. When the job was complete I was handed all the proper documentation needed to show the remediation was complete and nothing else was required. I sold the property and because the job was so professionally done there were no questions asked because all the work was complied with properly. I would recommend In Earth to anyone!!!!!!!!!

By Geoff B.September 6, 2015Remove previously cleaned and abandoned oil tank$1,1001 dayVerified HireIn Earth Excavating, Oil Tank Removal
I was very satisfied with removal of previously abandoned oil tank by In Earth Excavating. Ed Chontofalsky was very professional and knowledgeable. His price quotation was quite competitive, and the work was completed with very good quality in a timely way. Fortunately, the tank had no holes or evidence of oil leakage, so the removal was trouble free. G. Brown, Bridgewater, NJ

We are very satisfied with In Earth Excavating and the removal of our underground oil tank and installation of the new tank. Ed skillfully removed the oil tank, which was partially under the air conditioning unit, and filled and restored the area to its original condition. Ed is professional and quick to respond to all our questions. The job was completed quickly and at a fair price. We strongly recommend In Earth Excavating. Keith A., Ringoes, NJ
