Independent Pool

We gave the deposit for a very simple small pool in April 2016. It is now the middle of Aug 2016 and we still don't have a pool. As expected they hit our sewer pipe when they started the dig. My husband had it fixed and resolved the next day. We didn't see them for two weeks. Then finally they poured concrete. On the first day of the inspection, the pool did not pass because the plans did not match the pool. According to the inspector, the plans were any you could pull off the internet and do not include the led light that was being installed. So another delay. They have made two mistakes in the design of the pool. One was resolved and fixed and the other one was not resolved and not what I wanted. In the first few weeks of construction, they tried blaming the city for not coming out to inspect. Then I found out that was a lie. On several occasions, we were told by Allen that they have so many jobs they can not get them all done in a timely manner so all of their customers will wait a long time. When we began back in April we were told our pool would take 5 to 6 weeks. I am wondering now if we will get a pool in 5 months considering we are at 4 months now. Ran into someone else who is using them for a remodel and they are having the exact same experience with these people. They do not return calls. They do not return texts. They do not return emails. They do not show up to work when they say they are coming. When we started the process everyone knew that the power line had to be moved. That was not planned for until the beginning of Aug, The date was set with FPL, Aug 15th. They were supposed to show up the week before to dig the trenches for electric and remove a tree. Once again they did not show up. We were told they would come the Monday before the FPL date, no show, Then they said they would come Wednesday, no show. Then we were told they would come before 8 am on the 15th to get things taken care of before FPL. At 9am FPL showed up but of course, we had no pool people here to have things ready. Independent Pool Inc should be called Incompetent Pool Inc. In the beginning, we were lucky to get them to show up once a week to work. We just found out that we now have a lean on our house for one of the subcontractors they used on our pool because they bounced a check to the subcontractors. Last night their subcontracted electrician tried to give us their bill. We didn't hire them we hired Independent Pool Inc to build us a small pool in a timely manner. All the delays have been because of their horrendous scheduling and planning. I have never had such a bad experience. Easily the most unprofessional, lying, mistake making, excuse making people I have ever dealt with on a construction job. On Aug 31 we noticed that our still unfinished pool tile pavers were moving. We thought the rain from the passing hurricane Hermine was washing them away. When we woke up the next morning on Sept 1 we realized the pavers were not moving. The pool was popping up out of the ground. Today as I write this it is 11am on Sept 7. Our pool is 3 feet out of the ground on the deep end. One worker showed up yesterday to move a few pavers out of the way but no one else. I am really not sure how they are still in business. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy.
