Do your due diligence before considering this contractor. Check all the legal actions against him from 2019 to present. We contracted with Nevin Middleton, owner of Innovation Homes, to build us a custom home in Westport, WA. Three years later, job is unfinished. All we are left with is shoddy workmanship, a lot of lies, and tens of thousands of dollars unaccounted for. Though they took over 450k from us and our bank, they left vendors and subcontractors unpaid at least as early as fall of 2019 (well before his COVID excuses could help explain,) resulting in notices of lien coming to us. He has steadily refused to release the bank records of the build account in our name, though he is contractually obligated to do so. Now, he and his lawyer won’t return calls. We’re left with nothing but a shoddily built shell of a house, a lot of lies, and tens of thousands of dollars unaccounted for.
