Terrible customer service. I had tried to replace several parts on my unit and put a brand new $550 main board in.
I asked Mr. Reid to come fix my electric slide gate that just stopped working all of a sudden one day. When inquiring and elaborating to him over the phone, I specifically said that I wanted to use the old main board & remove the new one that was on the system. When he came here, I mentioned again before he started the job & brought the old board out with some tools because he forgot his electrical screw drivers. I specifically said again that I’d like the old board put on so I can salvage the old parts if they are working fine. That way, I could then return the new board & get a refund of $550. The whole reason why I hired him is to make it work with the original parts so that I could save money, additional headaches and already put on there. He investigated & then only fixed a wire and then when he was done, he told me that I could just remove the new one and put the old one. After I carefully replaced it, the whole system does not work again. He refuses to help me repair it per my request further as he is complaining that “he came out and made it work”. I said so I basically paid $160 for 2 hours” for not even 2 hours, then he says charges $160 / hr and that he had already more than an hour on it. It was an hour and 10 minutes.
Complete waste of money and now left in the same predicament I was in prior, without the service rendered per my request. Terrible customer service. It’s not about getting it to work.
Mr. Reid, your job was to troubleshoot it and help me save money on parts, not be lazy and leave the problem to me, take the money & leave me high and dry.
I would not hire him or recommend him again!
