The repipe crew showed up on time and completed their part of the job in a day. They cleaned up and when they left all was good.
Two drywall workers showed up the day they were supposed to. Integrity says they don't use subcontractors. The worker at my house told me he did not work for Integrity. The worker sprayed drywall on my cabinets, fixtures, floors, etc. My house was left a mess. When I tried to contact Joe, he was either in class, in a meeting or driving. It was one excuse after another.
Joe finally admitted his crew did a bad job on the drywall and he had a 2nd crew come out. After a 3rd drywall crew came out, the drywall job was complete.
Drywall mud was left caked on new chrome piping, fixtures, showers, floors, etc. Newly painted cabinets were partially sprayed with drywall. Joe was not willing to pay for cabinet cleaning or damage. Joe said that his drywall and drywall mud did NOT cause damage to my cabinets.
After much communication and a small amount of shouting on both sides, Joe finally took responsibility for the mess and damages.
Joe, the owner, asked that I get a crew to clean the tile/grout. After the tile was cleaned, and the worker was waiting for payment, I called Joe and asked him to pay. Joe hung up on me. I paid the bill for his mess.
Joe asked that I get a 2nd crew to clean the drywall mud. I paid for cleaning supplies and a separate crew to clean walls, cabinets, bathroom fixtures, including scrubbing with a toothbrush to get drywall off.
When I asked Joe for reimbursement for cleaning, he told me I owe him $1,000. At that time, I had spent around $2,000 on cleaning up his mess. I agree I owe $1,000 when the job is complete. His contract reads $1,000 due when drywall is complete. His contract also reads, that when final payment is made, that I waive all rights to damages. So, do I pay the $1,000 when drywall is complete or when the job is complete including deficiencies and final permit is signed off? If you decide to hire this company, it would be a good idea to ask for clarification and have them agree in writing that final payment is due when the job is complete, including excess cleaning and damages.
Joe asked me to get a 3rd crew to clean and fix the cabinets. I was not going to be out any more money and on February 25, 2022, Joe did pay for cabinet cleaning and I had the cabinets cleaned that day.
I understand sometimes things go wrong on jobs:
A company with INTEGRITY would admit their mistakes, take responsibility, pay and take care of all deficiencies that they caused. They would not expect me to pay and be out money to clean up their mess.
A company with INTEGRITY would not think I should make final payment until all work, including all cleaning and damages are taken care of.
Look at the pictures and decide for yourself if you want this company to do work in your home. I would NOT hire them again and I would not recommend them to anyone. We are 68 years old and this is NOT what we expected from this company.
One more warning…...I had two construction fans at my house. One went missing during the job. The worker did return the fan after I tracked him down and insisted he return it.
Update: The job should have been completed on January 31, 2022. Delay after delay, excuse after excuse, I am finally done dealing with Joe. On February 25, 2022, Joe reimbursed me for some of the cleaning that I had paid out; he kept $1,000 that would have been my final payment.
Joe replied on my other review that there was some miscommunication and I should call them. I have pages and pages of notes of the "miscommunication". This wasn't a matter of a billing question. I'm not sure what miscommunication Joe is referring to. Me paying for all his crews mistakes to be fixed and cleaned up? I have text message after text message documenting what was said and done everyday. "Miscommunication" is an understatement! As far as the work being up to par, pictures speak for themselves.
