    Warning: Negative Experience with Ipaint – Incomplete Work, Damages, and Payment Issues

    I want to share my experience with Ipaint, a painting company I hired in March 2025 for a full interior and exterior job on my home. The original contract was for $100,000, and I paid a $13,750 deposit. I also provided all paint materials myself, totaling nearly $35,000.

    From the start, the project has been plagued by disorganization, delays, and poor communication. Despite paying $92,750 so far, Ipaint is now refusing to complete the garage painting, necessary touch-ups, or repair the extensive paint splatter throughout my home, or horrific stucco repair. They’ve also damaged my floors with paint spills, and my driveway is stained.

    We agreed to increase the contract to $120,000 to speed up completion and add concrete staining, but the owner is now demanding another payment before finishing the job—even though the concrete staining and many other items remain incomplete, as well as being weeks past the “expedited” timeline.

    I have tried to resolve these issues directly, but the owner is insistent on more money before completing the work. At this point, I feel taken advantage of and want to warn others in the community.

    I am seeking either the completion of all contracted work to a professional standard or a fair refund for the unfinished and unsatisfactory work. If you are considering hiring Ipaint, please proceed with caution.

    I am obviously no longer interested in concrete staining and as they missed both the original and expedited deadline, the contract should still stand at $100,000 however, I now am sitting with damaged property and unfinished work ??‍♀️

    Interior Painting

    Highly recommend George. He was very responsive; replied to our inquiry within hours. Was very accommodating to meet a tight deadline to paint the interior before our move in. George is very professional, and it is clear he has years of experience and knowledge in this field. He was professional, courteous, and communicated with us often. We gained confidence immediately. We had frequent updates, and he set expectations well in advance, no surprises. The quality was excellent - you could see that he paid great attention to detail. Everything was left clean. The project was complete within the timeframe (under two weeks), and the cost was reasonable and competitive. We would hire him again in a heartbeat, and have already referred him to others. The project was an interior paint, 1750 square feet. two floors 3Bedroom/2.5 baths. High ceilings.

    We needed to find a painter who could help us get our house painted in order to improve our sales opportunity. George was prompt in showing up to provide us with a bid for the job. He explained how he would do the job including suggestions on how to fix some imperfections that had occurred over the years. George provided his bid and timing of the job within a day. He contacted us within a couple of days of the start of the job to review what he was going to do, our expectations, and our final color choices. He was always friendly, helpful, and approachable on the job. He was accurate on the time needed to complete the job and thorough in cleaning up after himself. George even came back the day after he was done to touch up what the locksmith messed up on his work. I highly recommend George for any painting and would not hesitate to utilize his services again.

    Interior house painting

    I have worked in Facilities Management as an Architect for over forty years and am now retired. George Tamayo is one of the best if not the best painter that I have ever worked with. He provided a fixed rate price and a schedule to repaint the interior of our 2,300 SF house. He was able to adjust his schedule to fit our needs, Once on site he discovered that the original paint was not as he expected and he had to revise his plan and paint product. I am sure that revisions required more time and product cost, however he finished on schedule and made no adjustments to his bid price. He is very friendly and personable but once working he is unstoppable. We left him alone in our house on occasion with no concern about security.

    George was professional, reliable and very neat. He was prompt, did what he said he would do, but still open to ideas and had helpful suggestionsl. His logo - IPAINT expresses his pride in his work, and he does it well!

    Entire interior of a two story house.

    I had George paint the interior of my parents house after they passed away. George went above and beyond what I asked for or expected. He pays close attention to every detail and did more than I asked him to. If you need your house painted and not only want it done right but have a good man do the job.....George is your man. I made a new friend with George as well. That doesn't happen all the time when you hire someone to work for you. Very, very pleased. Thank's George!

    My wife and I are extremely pleased with the work George of IPAINT CALIFORNIA has done for us. He just completed painting the family room at our home. It is the third job he has done for us, including painting the high ceiling, and stairway walls, in our two story home.
    The quality of his work exceeds any painting I have ever had done, as a senior citizen for over 40 years of having homes painted.
    He is the best, and very reasonably priced compared to others we have used!
    I would highly recommend him to anyone!
