I hired Mr. Brewer for the removal of two oak trees and two holly bushes because a trusted realtor recommended him for the job. He quoted me at $1,250 verbally. He stated that his men will haul away the trees and leave the brush for the county to pick up on trash day. Since I'm new to town and lack the knowledge of the local ordinance; I conveyed to Mr. Brewer that if the county will pick up as he’d stated without holding me liable for the brush, then I'll be OK with his plan. He ensured me that the county will pick up the brush since he has been in business for a long time. On the day of the job I had concern about the amount of brush left on the curbside. Therefore, I did a research on the county’s brush pick up policy and called him to address my concern before the men will return to complete the job. He said, he will charge me extra to remove the brush if the county will not pick up. I was not happy with his response and informed him that it is not a good business practice. I asked him to stop the 1/2 done job and just bill me for the finished portion, so I can call another professional to complete the job and clean up properly. He stated that he will charge me for the full quoted amount whether his team finished the job or not. I was very unhappy with his response and expressed dissatisfaction, but went ahead and allowed the men to finish the job. I was left with a large mess! I'm writing this review hoping to improve Mr. Brewer business ethic for future consumers. I'm only complaining about Mr. Brewer's business ethic. The tree workers did a great job!
