    Mr. Armstrong was personable and did a great job with communication through the entire process. The work was completed earlier than originally planned and with good attention to detail. The crew did a nice job cleaning up afterward. I would recommend J Armstrong Construction for 203k projects.

    Terrible. This contractor is very messy and sloppy. He does not clean up after himself even though we told him that we would still be living in the home during construction. He didn't open widows when he sanded and didn't quarantine off rooms to minimize the dust. He worked past the time he was supposed to and wanted to charge us more money when we told him that the paint job didn't have good coverage or good lines on the edges. He also washed out his paint brushes in my kitchen and bathroom sinks, which I had to clean thoroughly. I had to get my air ducts cleaned out because he didn't cover vents while dust traveled through ,my entire home. He didn't lay drop cloths while painting although he knew we were still living in the home. He pulled my curtains down to the floor to paint and left them on the floor (also filled with dust) leaving my windows exposed. He didn't even cover them so I had to by temporary shades. I would not recommend this contractor to anyone.
