He was unresponsive, lied about work and didn't complete the job. I ended up hiring another contractor to finish the scope of work.

This contractor was referred to me thru Zoom-build.com for home repair. I was asked what kind of work it’s about I told him it's about, (house unlevelled Floor “ one side is higher than the other side”). I was told it’s around between $2K to $ 3K, I said yes. I was told some contractors will be contacting you soon. I got some emails from three or four different companies, there were no contact yet (weekend). On August 29th 2016 I received a call from J&E com he made it look like they're best construction company in the country. He said I'll be there soon to take a look. He came I explained what was wrong with the floor. He said that's easy job, he said he needs small jacks to elevate some sides of the floor. He said I'll take the old floor off and make it all levelled, put a new sub-floor and a new floor same like the existing floor. He said give me three days for the job to be done. He tried to do partial floor for $ 3k I said no I need the whole floor to be done, he asked for $4k. He said I need 50% in advance to order the supplies and 50% at the end of the job. I gave him $2K check (50%), he insisted to start the job the very next day at 7:30 AM, I asked him are you sure tomorrow, he said yes. He didn't show up until 10 AM. I called him, he said I'm waiting on the jacks to be delivered to me and no contractor did return the jacks on time so I’m behind. He called me soon after saying I got the jacks, I'll be there soon. They arrived with no tools. The next day he brought one guy with him, his sister & his wife (both they were sitting in the van doing nothing. He promised to get five guys with him & two girls for cleaning. He went to buy an electric saw. I already gave him the key for my house which he still keeping it until now. The next day he came with an eval idea saying that: there was some obstacles using his business account to make the order for the supplies at home depot and if it happen it’s gonna be a delay. He said if I get the money I make the order for the supplies and I’ll pick them up in 24 hours, I told him if it’s only about the money I can advance the other 50% ($2K), He was happy and he ran right away to call his wife to ask her to use their job credit card reader, unfortunately she was far away from home, he kept trying on his phone until he got the transaction go thru. He tried to save the existing bamboo hard floor to save more but they damaged most of it then they gave up and cut it off. They made a whole into the floor to get under the floor, he couldn't go thru crawling basement. I asked him in case the joists are rotten, he said I'll support them with a same exact size sister. They raised the one side of the floor up, support it with 4”x4” treated wood, they used 2”x4” to assist (sister) the 2”x8” rotten joist so after couple days it went down again. They tried to use The ½” cheaper OSB sheets instead of at least ¾” OSB sheets, there were many gaps between this sheets. They nailed the OSB sheets to the joists then they cut them off which caused damaged to most of the joists (instead of measuring the OSB sheets cutting them and putting them the right way). They left many weak spots (not supported from underneath “joists not fully assisted long ways” so the OSB sheets were not connected the right way they were going far away from each other and also up and down. On that day he dropped two of his guys in the morning & he left, the next day morning I called him telling him that the job was bad. They didn’t come in the morning, after I came back from my therapy at mid-day nothing was done, I called Eric, he said I’m at home depot with my guy to buy some materials for the job, I’ll be there shortly (whenever he’s not at work & I call him, he says these words: ( I’m at home depot buying some stuff for the job). Next day when I came back at midday no one came at all, I called Eric, he said: (I’m at home depot buying some material) I’ll be there in one hour, I went somewhere and later on I came back nobody was there and I figured out that they came, picked up their tools and they left. Next day September /08/2016 I called Eric again just before 1:00 PM he already blocked my home and cell phone numbers so I could not reach him, I called him nine times until the very last call it was past 5:00 PM, he answered the phone telling me I’m in Los Angeles and my guys supposed to be working in your house, he said let me talk to them then I’ll call back, he did not, after awhile I called his he did not answer the phone and he texted me saying no calls just texting, but he did not answer the texts messages as well. I sent an email to the Zoom-Build.com and I stopped calling him until 09/14./16 a guy from Zoom-Build contacted me asking where did you get to, he said Eric told him that he was in Los Angeles California as well, he asked me which phone # I was dialing, he said it was the correct #. He suggested to give Eric an other call and see what he is intending to do, I called Eric he answered the phone right away telling me I’ll be in your house at 9:30 AM, when I came back after !2:30 PM, he was not there, I called him again he said I just got out of a meeting and I’ll be there soon. I called back Erin the guy from Zoo_build he said call me at 3:30 if he doesn’t show up. I called him back at 3:30 he said go ahead and you’re welcome to write a review. So he took $4k never ordered the supplies but few pces ½” OSB sheets, one sheet of ¾” of OSB, ten rolls of (R-13) 2x4 wall insulation, one piece 2x6” never used, 2x4”and a small box of nails. He took whatever left from my $4K and he quit the job.

The job is still not completed yet he has his money. He never showed back up to put on our shutters or remove a large board they left nailed to my roof. I also never received the invoice for the work he promised to bring. I feel he did other things with the money because he would and his crew come to me , him wanting money from me to pay his crew and the crew is complaining if he did come thru with their pay they would not be back. and that was money he should not have gotten until the job was complete. I feel he is a total big deceitful and would never recommend his work to anyone
