I purchased my new build from this builder on 2/15. I wished I would have never done so. This builder (Jermaine Johnson) is terrible. He does VERY faulty work. He does not communicate, and when he does it is not helpful. As a first time homebuyer, I am beyond disappointed. He is currently building more homes in the Pageland, SC area...please, please, please save yourself the hassle, frustration, and anger. Read EVERY review and ASK ALL the questions!!!! I wish better for you!
Response from J.L.J. Services, LLC May 25, 2022As a builder in the area for more than 20 years, we deliver a quality product every time. Not only does our quality assurance department review each home we build but the county inspects the home at every stage of the building process. We give our clients the option to have an independent 3rd party to inspect the property which you exercised your right to do so. Nothing faulty was found. Furthermore, as a part of our customer satisfaction guarantee, we stand behind our work and have offered to buy the home back. The client respectfully declined the offer which further confirms that she did not receive a faulty home. -

As a first time home buyer, I was quite nervous about making such a big decision like purchasing a home. I’ve always been told how stressful and tedious (long) the process can be, plus numbers can get intimidating as well. With that being said, I believe this process was more smoother than purchasing my first car. Jermaine really made things happen over night for me and I don’t have that horrific testimony of most home buyers. We didn’t talk everyday about the progress or milestones within the building of my home, but he did make sure I was aware of key milestones pertaining to my home and any outstanding actions on my end (selecting flooring, cabinets, countertops, etc). If I had any questions or concerns, he was quick to answer or address them. I’m grateful for the experience and happy that with his help, I was about to become the first in my family to build a home. I’ve received so many compliments in regards to my home; inside and out! I would definitely use his services again and recommend JLJ Services to others interested in acquiring a new home.

I am a first time homebuyer and my experience has been wonderful so far. I do not know much about maintaining a home and there were a few imperfections, but Jermaine has been the best at answering all questions and fixing anything that is out of place or needing correction quickly. He communicates very well and all of his workers are kind, experts at their job and extremely helpful. There were a few delays, due to covid, but my transition has been extremely smooth. I will definitely use his service when making upgrades to my home.

My Husband and I are first time home buyers, and we were terrified of how terrible this experience would be with the house market sky rocketing. We’ve looked at many homes and was being outbid numerous times. We then learned about these new construction homes and they are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It didn’t take long to hear back from the contractors and to go out and look at them! They responded to our calls and emails quickly, answered all of our questions! The house finished 3 weeks before anticipated, which is AMAZING! Because that helped us get our inspection and appraisal done before our closing due date! The inspector was extremely picky and requested that minor things to be adjusted and the contractors had no problem with doing so, even how silly it was! And the best relief we had this entire process was that it met appraisal! That was our biggest fear! We absolutely adore our house! I think the hardest part for us with this contractor, was trying to decide on which beautiful home to buy! They were all stunning and it was sooooo hard to choose! I definitely recommend them! You won’t regret it!

As a first time homeowner this was an absolute terrible experience! There was no communication throughout the entire process. When I would drive by there would never be any workers even tho I was near close and there was still so much to get done. He gave a 30 day guarantee that the house would be completed and due to closing the entire outside was just thrown together. No grass was put done just junky hay making it look like a family farm. The grading was done so wrong that water continuously just sat on the side of my brand new house. When confronted he said he didn’t care and had the absolute worst attitude. I would recommend him to help you walk across the street let alone anything touching your house!!

I’m a 1st time home buyer: RUN RUN RUN!!!! Don’t give him the opportunity to do anything with building your home, I
guaranteed you, you will have problems with your home that you paid an arm in leg for. Starting with plumbing, come to found out it was the brand new pipes under the house was screwed up cost me $5000 to replace the pipes to get my toilet and shower together and the paint on the walls which I asked for the paint that if the kids was to get anything on the wall I could wipe it off. He do what he wanted to do with your money and the floor tile was put down any kind of way. His partners they know how to hide dirty work to get by. I can go on and on and I know for a FACT those people gave him a 5 star told a lie about his work so unprofessional and hold up he do not communicate with after he got the plan you pick out, respond back to you when you have questions. All I’ma say you will regret it.
