I bought 4 windows from Lowe's, they were contracted out through Lowe's to put them in. I am not sure if Joe measured wrong or the wrong windows were sent but they weren't the right size. The worker removed my windows without verifying that the windows were the right size. Long story short, for 8 weeks I have had tape in and jacked up windows. Joe, the owner, is very arrogant and refuses to take responsibility for this, Lowes is atleast doing what they can. My son has asthma and his window has a huge crack in the middle, now I am worried about mold in his room. Horrible horrible experience

These guys install doors and windows for Lowes and are pretty much a lesson in how far we have actually lowered the bar for competent and skilled workers. We are easy people. If something is obviously done incorrectly, we'll patiently wait for it to be made right. Mistakes happen. Joe, the owner, has a fragile ego, and that made dealing with him a chore. Most professionals cop to their mistakes and do the right thing. Not this guy.
Bottom line: Big box stores do not pay contractors well and it's quite obvious with this contractor that this is the only steady work he can secure because he is incapable of building his own client base through his own merit. When an employee at Lowes actually admits that they have a contractor that is constant problems, you know you’ve made a really bad choice doing business there. Hopefully, with enough complaints, corporate will fix that some day. Until then, make good choices, pay the extra money and reach out to a professional door and window installer or better yet, just do it yourself.
