The work in the estimate was not fulfilled. When Anthony can not look you in the eye and becomes awkward; he’s got something shady goin’ on. I showed up at his office to pay balance and when met with this behavior I withheld 1/3 payment of estimate. I went back to worksite and had a closer look at job completed.
Example: estimate for work was to regrade large area of property which included, compacting dirt/soil to avoid run off with rain and uneven grade. This work was not done per estimate and there was insult to property beyond worksite so, when walking on finished work site, every foot print sunk 6” to 8” Leaving puddles with rain and potholes for lawn mower. The site was to remain contained, but due to heavy rain the equipment got stuck in the mud, to expedite work, the equipment moved into the center of my yard and neighbors back yard. My Recent $830.00 Survey sticks for planned fence were removed and replaced somewhere close to original spot. Anthony offered to reshoot the line for fence but if off from official survey wouldn’t commit to the cost of adjusting the fence if neighbor balked at the fence line. This issue was explained in an email and that I needed follow up with surveyor and how exacting township rules are for a fence before paying estimate balance.
I got the crap attitude from a lady attempting to collect and from Anthony claiming he “just wants to get paid”.
The customer just wanted the work done per estimate and not to incur additional expense.
The issue will be settled in fairness. I am disappointed in this business model.
I expected transparency and honesty.
