J&R NW Construction

Thanks to J&R Construction, the exterior of my home now looks amazing and I couldn’t be any happier with their work! I wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again - in fact they’re going to install a new roof for me this spring. Hire this company if you want excellent craftsmanship and superior attention to detail at an affordable price!
I found J&R Construction on Facebook and was drawn to their ad that showed a siding job they had done in Washougal, WA where they had replaced the siding as well as fixed all the dry rot they had found.
The exterior of my home was severely compromised and needed all new siding as well as extensive dry rot removal so I decided to give them a try.
I was worried about finding a company who would be willing to take on an exterior project so near to the end of the season. It was already September and there wasn’t much time left before the rainy season here in Oregon.
I contacted Julio Ramirez, the owner of J&R Construction, and left a message about the work I needed done. What immediately stood out to me was that he promptly responded to my inquiry and called me back to say that he would be able to come out the next day to assess the work that needed to be done and provide me with a bid.
I met with Julio and signed the contract with him three days later. By the following week his crew began demoing the old siding off my house.
Julio and his team worked with me closely on every aspect of the exterior project. I also decided at one point that in addition to installing new siding, I also wanted to replace the large front picture window. Due to how large the original front window was, the new one would need to be special ordered and was a few months out. Julio found a temporary window in the meantime and said that once the new one arrived, they would come back and switch the temporary one out. This allowed his crew to continue the siding job without any long delay. The new front picture window was beautifully framed and looks perfect!
I also live in a neighborhood with a Homeowners Association and found out after the work had already begun on my house that I would need to obtain a permit from the HOA first. Julio was extremely understanding and said they would wrap the already demoed house with water resistive barrier (WRB) and that they would wait until after the permit was granted before installing the new siding.
Along with installing the new Hardie board siding, J&R Construction also spent the last week of the exterior project painting and adding brand new gutters to my home. Thankfully, they finished the entire project before the rain came and my beautiful new exterior was completed!
Julio, along with some of his crew, Gabriel, Mateo, Jorge, and Oscar, were professional, friendly, hard-working, and very responsive to any questions or concerns that I had. I highly recommend this business and have already referred a good friend to them.
