J. Reis Painting

In Fall of 2017 my house was painted by Painting Contractor Jose Reis -
the Con Artist. From the beginning I had regrets for having hired him! He
said he had a crew of 10 men, yet there was only 1 Painter and 1 useless
Teenager working on my house. I was told the gutters would be cleaned
and they were not! After the painting was finished and he was "paid" he
should have repaired a damage. Twice he gave me a date and twice he did not show up! Early on the paint started to peel and crack.
Well, his 5 year guarantee is a Fraud!! He never had any intention to honor it! A case of: "if it's too good to be true". I was skeptical about the guarantee and verbalized it, when he assured me that if there were
issues he would be coming. I tried to get in touch with him to let him know the house needed to be worked on.
My numerous calls were never answered or returned! His Strategy and
Tactics are to grab the money and run - never to be seen again! This is
certainly not the image of a reputable business!
It was a bad experience. A nightmare.
My advice is to give this man a WIDE BERTH! His is dishonest and
untrustworthy.

Mr Reis painted my house three years ago. Initially I thought that he did a great job considering the age of the paint on the house. At that time I gave him a raving review about how wonderful he was. However, after two years it began to peel and crack and this past April I contacted him since he had guaranteed his work for five years. I called from April until December, and at one point during the summer he did stop by and looked at the house. He said at that time that he would be back, and to leave the paint (left-over I guess?) out for him. He has never returned. During my many numerous telephone calls to him he kept assuring me that he had not forgotten and would certainly take care of this. It's a mess. Now, however, he is neither taking my calls nor returning them. VERY POOR customer service, and obviously not a reliable company.
