By Aleksandra W.April 25, 2024Add a second story on the house
He is the worst.
We entered into a contract in the summer of 2022 to get a 2nd story built on our house. The contract took off the roof without a permit and the work was stopped by the city the very next day. He took $90,000 from us and didn't return to do the work. It rained on my house for months and destroyed absolutely everything inside. There was mold everywhere. We were forced to leave without having a place to live. He destroyed my house and my life. My kids cried themselves to sleep for months as all of our belongings got destroyed and they lost their house. We had to move to a way cheaper area as we didn't have money to buy a new house in the same area.
He refused to return the money!

J Rod was recommend by well respected designer that had worked with him for 14 years. So there was no reason not to trust him but 4 months on a the home remodel that should have taken 3 months J Rod walked the job with the house incomplete and $20K. Luckily, thanks to the designer) I had the majority of the material stored in my Garage but he did not deliver on the granite, carpet and glass products ($20K). He shorted his sub contractors pay and some of them just didn’t have a clue. Luckily I found a good contractor who worked well with my designer to complete the job and correct some of the mistakes and shortfalls of J Rods crappy work.
