    If I could give JWM negative100 stars I would. RUN run as fast as you can away from these people (Jack and Lorie Mitchell). We unfortunately hired them to do an extensive remodel/add on to our home. Lorie sells herself as the coordinator of the project, and her husband Jack does the field work. JWM hires (some unlicensed) subcontractors, and then pitches a devious plan to convince you, the homeowner that you need to pay JWM instead of the subcontractor. Then, they don't pay their subs the money that they are due. The subs then come to you for payment and threaten to put a lien on your home. Lorie then lies and tells you that she paid the subs in cash (who pays $5000 and more in cash). Next she produces a fraudulent invoice from the sub showing he was paid. They have stolen thousands of dollars this way, and we are not the first to be victimized by their actions. JWM Construction (Jack and Lorie Mitchell) also took/stole materials from our home and installed them into another home. We were not compensated for this, and the other homeowners were charged for the materials. Needless to say, these people are dishonest (understatement), please beware. We cannot believe that they have gotten away with this for so long. They operated under another contractor's license years ago, one can only speculate that they lost this license and popped up again under another name. JWM construction has since filed Chapter 13 (our attorney informed us), BUT THEY ARE STILL WORKING. Subcontractors are afraid to turn them into the Contractor's board as they fear not getting future jobs. There are complaints filed against them with the California Contractor's Board, and they are under investigation. Please before you begin any project, check with the Contractor's board for complaints, this will save you the nightmare that we experienced.
