By MartinezOctober 16, 2021Build a house$400,000
Jackie Homes NEVER completes a task. Yes my home is done but cabinets are cheaply made and installed horribly, paint was not primed and chips off the walls with the smallest touch, front door frame is warped, water leaks from the roof, tile cracks, baseboards coming off wall… i could go on. I haven’t lived in my house a year!! They do not give you accurate paint colors because they take your left over paint .. add water.. and use it on other houses. No follow up. The WORST!

By Paige S.August 11, 2021Finish the house they started$121
Absolutely the worst experience ever since purchasing my home. Getting them to come out and fix ANYTHING is almost impossible. When they give you a time, they never show up until hours later. I have had a hot water heater out for a week now and they have given me the run around to 15 different people and it has yet to be fixed and it’s under warranty. I cannot NOT RECOMMENDED THEM ENOUGH. Do not purchase from this builder unless you want the absolute worst experience and customer service. Also, Rey the site supervisor is the worst. Absolutely disrespectful and demeaning if you are a woman. All around this is a terrible builder.

By Deborah T.May 8, 2020Build our home. Never completed$28,900
My home is beautiful , but the quality of work is extremely poor. They will hire anyone to do the work. The material is the cheapest!!! I be been in my home almost a year. Blue tape from walk- in is still up. I call are text at least 3-4 a month begging them to please come finish my house. It’s not just one thing. It’s several. I’m not the only home in oakdale crossing that’s having problems. I have kept a record of all text messages, calls that very few have been returned. When they finally do come. They promise you it will be taken care of. 11 months later, here we sit with a unfinished home. We still have unresolved issues that they could care less about. As long as they can get you in to these homes is all that matters to Jackie’s Homes.

I would Never recommend them to anyone. My house is beautiful but the quality of their work and material was very CHEAP, they hire just about anyone to do their work and it Showed. builders where not easy to work with what so ever! My dream home turned into there Dream and have unresolved issues still up to this date! I just want my home done right, and be left alone after it’s done correctly.

From personal experience, none of the reviews on this page are vindictive in nature. I feel like they are all spot-on.
Let me start by noting that we started this project on the downward slope of COVID 19 and my wife and I were very understanding of the supply and demand issues that were handicapping the industry. With that said, this builder low-balled the build cost to get us to sign on the dotted line and my hapless realtor Donald Girdy allowed the builder to raise the price TWICE because of unforeseen cost overruns. One being the fact that the builder did not add cost for stuccoing 500 sq ft of courtyard walls! Our beginning negotiations came with instructions to keep the house under $400k. Jackie assured us that that was possible so we signed on the dotted line April 1, 2021 with an expected delivery of December 31, 2021. What we did not know at the time was that the infrastructure for the land would not be completed and the slab for our home would not be laid until the end of November! Jackie knew the target date was not December before I even signed the agreement, yet she continued to state that "anything" is possible. Okay...slab laid and we start to see our dream home take shape. We wanted arched windows in the front of the house. Ray, Jackie's husband and builder framed the windows for rectangle glass. Jackie claims that the frames would be shaped accordingly when the glass came from the manufacturer. Well, sheetrock is in, some of the windows arrive and then we are informed that my arched windows are 3 months out BUT, they have the rectangle windows in the proper size already on hand so we don't have to delay the already delayed project. Funny thing is, of the three garage windows, one is different. The glass texture is not the same. Also, we asked for cubed glass in our master bathroom and received standard mosaic. Jackie stated the mosaic glass was only installed to pass some type of inspection, yet as the project neared completion, there was no more talk of replacing the mosaic with cubed glass. In the end, after closing September 2, 2022 we have a beautiful dream home but just like Deborah T., noted, there is a lot of cheap, shoddy craftsmanship throughout. The kitchen cabinets are pretty much particle board, the tile work was poorly executed, and my lights flicker every time my A/C kicks on. On the plus side...Rey is responsive and Yadi is super helpful.
