Based on my experience with this company, I would NOT recommend them. We hired this company to do a rehab on a house for us. The project should have taken no more than four months. Initially they jumped on the project which we were happy about. However, they never finished the exterior (roof, painting). We mentioned it to them on a regular basis, but they kept advising that was a punch list item. To us, not finishing a task is not just a punch list item. For the most part, if we were not in the area overseeing the project, no work would get done. The house is 2800 sq ft and it took 3.5 months to paint and it was neither finished nor done correctly (lots of missed areas, the taping and mudding was done very poorly, lots of paint on the windows and floors). We purchased a higher level of bathtub, with a rectangular overflow drain. They cut a round overflow drain into the tub below the rectangular one and just put a piece of plastic over the rectangle opening. They also broke the drainpipe when installing the tub. They built a closet where the walls were not level, and the door height was 83 in rather than the normal 80 inches. They built a walk-in shower where the walls were not level, which caused a large gap for the glass shower door. They initially put the non-movable glass door on the wrong side, even though we told them which side to put it on. When trying to fix the holes that were drilled, they cracked the marble threshold. They change the specifics of the contract during the process.
In summary, our experience with Jackson Contracting Inc was that the work took forever, was of poor quality, and the GC was defensive, vulgar, rude and manipulative.
