This guy is a CROOK! Said he was licensed and insurance and IS NOT. Started project. When I was gone got elderly mom to pay for job and said he would come back. Never came back. It was simple bathroom tile job. Skipped town. Homeadvisor and thumbtack said he gave false addresses. We called police and they verified all addresses he gave her not even residences. We have police out trying to find this crook and have him served. If anyone has any idea where to find this guy please reach out.

James took over our bathroom and bonus room addition halfway thru the project after our first contractor quit on us. To his credit he understood our situation and gave us a good quote. Our bathroom basically needed to be tiled and have a bathtub installed with its plumbing. James did a subpar job tiling our shower and bathroom because the tiles on one whole wall of our bathroom is crooked. After the tile was up and grouted, he did not come back and wash the shower walls with acid in order to get off all the remaining grout.
As for our bonus room addition, when James showed up we basically needed to insulate, sheetrock, mud and texture the room as well as put up trim and paint. Our contract with James clearly says he will 'finish out' the room. James ended up subbing out the work to someone else. James said if he does anything wrong he will come back and fix it. After the room was mudded and textured, we found out that putting up the trim, window sills, and painting was not part of the deal. On top of that, once we painted the room, we noticed the drywall seams had not been sanded so you were able to see every seam on the walls and ceiling. James came back and said that it was unacceptable and he would fix it because he didn't want his name associated with that type of work. That was the last time we saw him. He told us over the phone he would come back the following Thursday and Friday to fix the walls, however that was a lie. We've tried calling and texting with him multiple times, however he has not returned any calls or messages. We ended up finishing the job ourselves.
when we first met James he seemed like a very nice guy and a knowledgeable contractor, however as he got into our project, he seemed like he got very frustrated with it taking longer than he anticipated. Because our first contractor had already walked out on us, we didn't mind doing a little work to help James get the project done. He seemed to take advantage of the fact that we somewhat knew what we were doing and ultimately decided he didn't have to hold up to his end of the bargain.

James Moore took our money and lied to us about doing the work. He was suppose to paint walls, ceiling, trim and doors AND MORE. He sent us photoshopped pictures because we don't live in Midland anymore- he was working on our rental home. The deal was as he completed the work he would send invoices with pictures. He did not complete any work and sent fake photos and invoices. I paid him believing he was a good guy- that the work was complete. ( He comes off a very nice wholesome man) I have gone to the district attorney's office and filed fraud through my bank. I am hoping to see some of our money back but most important is that it doesn't happen to anyone else!
