Whatever you do, don't hire this builder! The entire experience has been a nightmare. He changed the building site from high-ground to a hole on a down-slope, causing severe drainage and washout issues. It's a terrible location besides! The project went over budget approx twice his estimate, due to his mismanagement, and months past completion schedule. We have severe drainage issues, it's taken thousands of dollars in excavation work and it still floods because of the down-slope that he chose to build on. The support structure, foundation is not according to GA code and had to be rebuilt after 5 years because it failed. The wrong materials were used in several rooms. Most outlets and switch openings were cut much too large in tongue & groove wood. We have crooked doorways, the doors have to be propped open. There's an entire wall that is visibly crooked. Wood floors were never cleaned up after sanding, before finishing, causing a grainy, bumpy texture. None of the interior wood was acclimated, brought in directly from outside and installed. Floors separated and crowned and much interior wood is warped. Roof was installed without flashing and leaks like crazy. He didn't make his sub contractors stand behind their work and he refused to stand behind his. We lost everything, our entire life's savings due to this company. His state license has been invalid, in the past, for years at a time. This builder acted in a deceptive manner on this project and in our opinion is not trustworthy. Nor does he appear to possess even rudimentary skills in his field.
