Tony and his crew did a great job with a remodel of a very old and beat up property. The end result was very nice, clean, and professional. We initially bid the project out to 5 different contractors and choose Tony because of his pricing and the quality of work. I would definitely recommend them. =)

My wife and I are completely satisfied with Tony and his work. We were in need of a garage demo and rebuild and he delivered on budget and within a timely manner. Tony took care of everything leaving us stress free during the process, he ran into a few issues with the city and some permits at times but completely handled it all with minimal effort from us. He exceeded our expectations given our budget and needs. Tony was always available and responded quickly when we had questions or concerns. Our neighbors around us had nothing but nice things to say about Tony's team and their work. We had a serious problem with our supports for our cabin near Pinecrest Lake in the Sierras. One of the posts supporting the cabin (which is cantilevered off of a steep hillside) had buckled and the larg4 4x10 beam supporting the rear of the cabin had sagged and twisted - this was due to the heavy snow load last winter. Tony Rangle skillfully diagnosed the problem and engineered a solution (actually several specific items). The work was very professionally done; it was well organized and completed in less time than scheduled. We are very pleased that the cabin is now better than new and will last a long, long time. Tony was practical, knowledgeable, well organized, communicated very clearly and lived up to his commitments. We recommend him and his team very highly.

Tony provided enough structure and updates to reassure me we were on the same page regarding scope of work and status. He met all his commitments and went above and beyond to finish the project quickly and neatly. Once we agreed to scope, he took care of all the details. There were no cost overruns and the project went extremely well. We are very satisfied with the whole process and end result. We would definitely use him again if we had any projects to complete.
Replace tile countertop and backsplash; install sink/faucet; build encasement for, and install, built-in fridge
Tony and his crew were great! The first thing they did was erect a plastic dust-barrier, with a big zipper for entry. This kept the house dust-free, though it made the cats very curious as to what they could not see. I was kept apprized of everything; Tony was quite solicitous about ensuring that what they were doing / planning was what WE wanted.
Jar removed our terrible tile countertops and replaced them with a lovely manufactured quartz material that we’d selected. The counters are now perfectly level, flat, and wonderful. The sink we now have is superb, with a faultless mounting job.
The matching backsplash is magnificent. The cut-outs for the outlets/switches are impeccable. A bank of switches had to be re-oriented to fit the backsplash, but Tony easily handled it after asking me what I wanted done.
Jar also built the encasement for, and installed, our new built-in fridge. Tony discussed with me what they were planning on doing, what materials I wanted to use, etcetera, and cautioned me that matching the old oak cabinet color to the new maple encasement and trim was not a given. He said they’d do their best, but an exact match was not really possible (how could one match the patina of age?). It is a very, very close match, and it looks fantastic. Plus, it’s maple, so it is a much nicer looking wood (to me).
While they were building the new fridge encasement, they asked if I wanted it to match the top cupboard height. At first I’d said “no”, but they pointed out that the new fridge is much taller than the old fridge. One of the crew (I’m terrible with names) devised a very nice way to support the entire top of the encasement and make it level with the cupboard tops. It is marvelous, and looks perfect!
Every day they tidied-up their work areas, leaving very little behind. They hauled away all of the debris produced (including the cast iron sink). What could have been a nightmare couple of weeks turned into a minor inconvenience?
At every step, they verified that it was what I wanted. I am certain I could have delegated everything to them, but Tony knew that was not the kind of clients we are. If you want a crew that can get a job done, call them. If you want a crew that can get a job done exactly as you want, call them now. Jar Construction is the very first call I will make for subsequent projects.
