This guy was deceitful from the very beginning
He was hired to install a separate outlet so that I could run my campers A/C unit and not continue to trip the breaker inside of my parents home.
So for 340.00 he added a separate box but with the same outlet, same voltage, same amperage etc..
Robert did this work less than a month ago and today I left my 2 puppies in the camper with the air blowing nice and cool.
I’m lucky they were not dead when I returned as the A/C unit burnt out by not being supplied with the correct power it needs, so this guy basically just gave me another regular plug to plug in to instead of what I hired him for which was to assure the camper would be running on its correct plug in type as well as the correct power it needs.
He did me no service whatsoever as I was already receiving power that way but with an extension cord that I had already spent 150.00 on
At the end of his install he was paid in cash, my dad went to the bank, up to the teller and received 340.00 in cash which the teller placed in an envelope.
Upon returning from the bank my dad hands me the envelope and says it’s the cash payment of 340.00 which I hand right to Robert, my dad says to count it which he looks in to the envelope but does not pull out the contents
A couple of hours later I receive a call from Robert telling me that the envelope contained 140.00 not 340.00
This makes a huge arguement with my dad and I because I’m now questioning my 81 year old fathers ability to do day to day tasks… I was torn with whom to believe….did my dad only get 140.00 from the bank because he is losing his memory and thought that’s what the payment was…. Did he only receive 140.00 from the bank and thought that it was 340.00… this option also questions his mental awareness and ability to handle situations that are now becoming a concern with age
I even went as far as going to the bank with him the following banking day and they were kind enough to show us the video of the teller counting out the 340.00 and placing it in the envelope.
It was at that point that I realized Robert was not an honest business owner… I found his info on CL … so not a huge surprise… but I was prepared to split his loss of 200.00 up till that point
And now today realizing that because I thought I was running my camper on the correct amperage, the A/C unit burnt out, my dogs were in there for hours, could very well have died from how hot it was in there…. And I now have more issues to deal with…. Hey Robert…. Karma… it’s real
